"Maplewood Plumbing was the 2nd company I called to replace a garbage disposal after the first company was blatantly trying to rip me off. The plumber they sent was on time, friendly, honest (he didn't try to upsell me models) and was less than a third the price of the 1st company I had called. Thankful for a company I can trust, I will absolutely use them again in the future!"

"Could not have been better. Ran into a scheduling issue with another plumber. Called Kirkwood Plumbing on Monday, they were able to schedule us for the next day. Gave them the info from the original plumber's proposal and they agreed to match the cost and work. Plumber was running late due to very heavy traffic. Called 45 minutes before the scheduled appointment to let us know he might be a little late. Arrived only 10 to 15 minutes late, which was fine with us since he had called. Got right to work and finished within a few hours."

"Our 75-year-old home had issues with the sewer backing up in the basement. We called Ducky Drains, Mike was the plumber who came to our house. In the initial house call, Mike determined there were collapsed pipes under the foundation. We were given an estimate to replace the original main plumbing stack, along with replacing the collapsed pipes below ground. This estimate was much cheaper than the other bids we received. The work was completed in a timely manner and for exactly the amount of the estimate. During the service, Mike kept us posted on the progress of our plumbing issues. Our storage items in the basement were protected from debris from the jackhammering which we appreciated. Upon completion of the work, the area was left very clean. We will be using Ducky Drains for all future plumbing needs."

"Anytime Plumbing was one of many plumbing businesses I called for a replacement water heater. Not only were they by far the most affordable, but Steve was also above and beyond the best when it came to customer service. You could tell that he was very knowledgeable as well as being personable and friendly. He explained our options, cost, and any issues that could potentially arise so that we weren't surprised the day of the install. Steve even went the extra mile to get all of the necessary paperwork completed ahead of time for the Spire rebate so that all we had to do was put it in the mailbox. Steve arrived on time the day of the installation and was respectful of our space. He was wearing a mask and asked politely if he could enter through the front door. He was working alone during this install and was able to take out the old water heater and bring in the new one without any disturbances while I was working. Steve is a master plumber and you certainly can tell going by his quality of work. I couldn't be happier with the finished install and rest assured we will have Anytime Plumbing on speed-dial for any plumbing related issues going forward."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

A passed inspection from local authorities is the clearest proof of correct plumbing work in Manchester. You should experience consistent water pressure and see clear water running from all fixtures. Thorough work includes proper drain venting, correct pipe slopes, and pressure-tested supply lines. Inspect the work area during the first few weeks to ensure absolutely no hidden moisture, stains, or odors develop behind your walls.

Helpful?

Cosmetic plumbing updates, like swapping a faucet, do not require permits. Functional projects, such as replacing a water heater or altering drain lines, strictly require permits and inspections from local authorities. When updating older Manchester bathrooms, cosmetic work frequently exposes corroded pipes that require immediate functional repairs. You must hire a licensed professional for all functional work to ensure your system remains safe and compliant.

Helpful?

Severe winter freezes in MO cause uninsulated pipes to burst, requiring emergency repairs. Heavy spring rainfall saturates local clay soils, increasing pressure on underground sewer lines and causing basement backflow. Summer heat and drought make the soil contract, which cracks buried pipes. High summer humidity also masks slow leaks inside walls. You must insulate exposed pipes and install backwater valves to protect your home.

Helpful?

Watch for recurring slow drains, which indicate failing sewer lines in older Manchester neighborhoods. A sudden drop in water pressure points to scale buildup inside aging pipes. You should also check for unexplained water meter movement or damp basement walls. Small pinhole leaks in older homes signal widespread internal corrosion. Address these warning signs immediately before they cause severe property damage.

Helpful?

Mandatory permit approvals and inspection schedules dictate project timelines in MO. Any work requiring a rough-in inspection demands multiple visits. Projects involving underground sewer repairs or concrete slab cutting require distinct phases for demolition, repair, and restoration. Coordinating a main water shutoff with the local utility also extends timelines. A licensed professional will manage these steps to complete your plumbing work safely and correctly.
