"If you are wanting a fence, then Gold Fence company is who you are wanting to hire. They are very fast and efficient and very professional. We were moving into a new house needing a fence pretty quickly for the dogs. They worked with us and got the fence up within two days. I asked questions even late at night and they were quick to respond even with pictures late at night. This is a good team and I would highly recommend them to anyone that is needing the fence. The fence is high-quality and looks fantastic. Thank you."

"From filling out the online for to inquire, to the estimate, to the actual work being done was lightning fast. I was contacted the day after filling a form. They sent an estimator to my home quickly. They provided a detailed estimate for the fence as well as plans for me to look over and approve. The estimate for install after I approved their quote was 4-5 weeks out, which would have put us to June 22 for install. They contacted me about a week PRIOR to that date to see if they could install sooner! It was moved up by about 5 days and we could not be happier with it. The fence itself is cedar, was installed within a few hours. The installers were friendly. They explained what they were doing, how the latch in the gate worked, and made sure I had no other questions prior to leaving the jobsite. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone. From first contact through completion, I felt well taken care of. The work is quality, the people friendly, and service was excellent"

"I hired them to install about a half acre of 5' Chainlink fence. My yard is on a hill and they did an impressive job of compensating for the incline and making it look nice. If I had a nicer phone I'd take pictures of how it still looks great more 3 years later."

"C.P.R. did a great job completely rebuilding one of our fence gates. The quality is fantastic and we had them replace an outdoor faucet too. The prices quoted for both were very reasonable compared to other bids we got."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

One of the best alternatives to a snow fence is to plant a living snow fence of grasses, shrubs, trees, and crops like corn. Another temporary option is using hay bales to create a barrier to disrupt the wind flow, and cause snow to accumulate in specific areas. However, hay bales are not a permanent option, so keep that in mind when choosing what type of snow fence you should install.

Wood, vinyl, chain link, and aluminum are common materials. Choose based on durability, maintenance needs, and aesthetics.

Standard post spacing for shadowbox fences is 6 to 8 feet. This spacing ensures proper support for the heavy weight of overlapping pickets and prevents sagging between posts. However, areas with high winds, slopes, or unstable soil conditions may require closer spacing.

Who pays for a new fence between neighbors depends on its location relative to the property line. If you build the fence entirely on your property, you are solely responsible for the costs of installation, maintenance, and repair. If the fence is built directly on the property line, both neighbors are typically responsible for the costs. In this case, it is essential to consult with your neighbor beforehand to agree on a plan for payment. While you should always inform your neighbor of your plans in advance, you generally cannot force them to contribute financially unless there are specific local laws, such as in California, where both parties might be responsible for costs unless a different agreement exists. It's a good idea to get a property line survey to know the exact boundaries before building.

In most cases, trees need to be protected from deer all year round. This is especially true if you want to protect small trees from deer or if you just planted some fresh, new trees. Once a tree is a few years old, you likely do not have to worry about protecting it from deer as it will be stronger and can handle a little damage.
