"This is a first class operation.  Mr. Zuber is very low key, nice and knowledgeable. He gave us alternatives for the look we were trying to achieve and advised us well. You see we were not thrilled with the idea of siding our house, as a lot of siding we had seen was not so good looking, but we are so pleased with the decision now that all is done. My skeptical husband is now the biggest fan of siding. Joe's crew was polite, hard working and dependable, caring very much about their craftsmanship. Clean-up was outstanding, and they noticed things needing correction before we did and fixed them, which were very few might I add. We had so much wood rot and problem areas, and they were experts at handling it all. They began sooner than we expected and worked long and hard hours. We had several estimates for the work we wanted done and were a little skeptical when Joe's bid was substantially less with up grades and quality products. We need not have doubted. We got a beautiful look, and after viewing  other houses and the siding on them, we are convinced that ours undoubtedly looks the most expensive and classiest. "I had gutter failure from huge storm in KC area last weekend, which caused water to pool in front of a basement window well and led to my basement flooding. I tried calling many other gutter companies, but they all were 2-3 weeks or 2-3 months booked out. the owner of 5 Star construction came out to give a bid, and immediately said that he would take one of is crews off another project to immediately address put up the new gutters so as to avoid further flooding into my basement. He said my situation was way more urgent than his other customers. He had a crew out the very next day to put up the new 6" gutters with splash guards, and addressing some of the other minor siding repairs."

"We knew that we had to have new gutters for the last few years and have just put it off. Realizing that the problem was only getting worse and could start to affect the foundation, we called and got bids from four different companies. Artisan was not the cheapest and definitely not the most expensive. From all the questions we where asking they where providing the same materials and putting them onto the house in the same manner as the next two higher bids but came in under their bids by $700 and $1200. Once I called Matt and accepted his bid he told me that he could have me on the schedule within 8 days, which was fine by us. Four days later he called and explained that they had a job put on hold and would we like them to come out the next day and get the job done. We told them sure, and the next day the crew was out bright and early and got the job done in a timely manner. When they where finished they came to the door and took my wife on a walk through of the job. She pointed out one thing that she didn't like how it looked and they took care of it immediately to her satisfaction.The next day, I saw where they had put on the fascia, and was not totally pleased with how it looked. I called Matt and the next day he was out to look at it with me and saw the angle that I was looking at it and agreed that it could be done better, and they had it done that day. I appreciate that they where willing to complete the job to our satisfaction down to the little things.If you need guttering done, this is a great company to call and work with. The neighbors have even commented on how much nicer it makes the house look. We had our first big rain the other night and did not have any of the leaking problems we where starting to see, so it was a good investment."

"The work was done during a spell of 90+ to 100 degree temperatures and the A/C unit outside had to be removed in order dig 6 feet down. Tomahawk brought in professional grade fans to cool the home, brought in a de-humidifier making an effort to keep us comfortable. Before they could begin digging, they had to remove shrubs and landscape rocks which were hauled away. The project was completed 3 years ago and so far all is well.

Phil is a winner! After we selected him to do a deck cleaning and restoration project, he met with us to see first-hand what was needed and explained the options clearly in a way that was easy to understand. With the details confirmed, he worked with us on dates, weather contingencies, and projected a completion date. As the work began, Phil noticed that many boards needed to be re-nailed, and worked around that area, taking care of that after I zipped to the hardware store and got the ones he specified. After he finished the work and the deck had time to completely dry, it looked fabulous--almost like new! Phil's workmanship is outstanding, as is his communication and friendly attitude.

 Shortly after this work was done, we hired Phil to replace a 4x4 ceiling in a sort of pantry/closet off the kitchen. Again, Phil's expertise in drywall repair and painting resulted in a great-looking ceiling that exceeded our expectations.
