Precision Door Service

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a professional service! In November I had a hung garage door and chose to go with Precision Overhead Door of Kansas City since it is name you can trust. I do not trust them. After reading the reviews it is clear that I am not alone on the amount of up-charging they do. I was given a quote for over $1500 to fix it long term. I was able to get the bare minimum down to about $475. Money was really tight for us and that was all we could afford. Then when they came to do the work, they tacked on another $150 because it was harder than he thought, so I had to borrow money from my kids Christmas fund. Then after he left, I tried to open and close the garage door at which point it fell of track again. I called to have them come out only for them to tell me that I needed 2 new springs for $575. I told them again that I could not afford it and they gave me a discount for $465 to replace the springs. I said that I would save the money to do the repair. Finally at the end of January I had enough money saved to do the repair. When they came out, they said that the price had gone back up to $575 after trying to get my wife to sign a waiver to do it for $800. I called and spoke with Alex, who was nice when he wanted to be nice but overall was very condescending every time, we had an interaction with him. He made us feel stupid and talked down to us. He explained that was a 1-time discount and they would not honor it. I hung up the phone and immediately called the office. I spoke with Bo, the supervisor over the garage door installation, who was so rude to me on the phone. After I didn't get anywhere with him, I asked for his manager, I cannot recall his name, who was the rudest manager I have ever spoken with. He was the director of operations. He told me that every time I Google Precision it costs them $100 and that I am costing them money. He reluctantly gave me the original quoted price of $465 on the condition that I leave a 5-Star Review. The work was completed but I will not let a company bribe me for a dishonest 5-star review. Instead, I will be honest and warn others. I will NEVER use this company again and will spread the word to everyone I know to avoid a company that is not one that I can TRUST.

I would recommend these folks to anyone needing garage door repair or replacement. From the get go (sales through install) everyone was attentive to detail and follow up. I will use them for any additional garage door work. Great job! Kim was fantastic to work with. She was very patient with us and helped us pick out the best door within our budget. I would definitely recommend working with her and her company again!

Precision Door Service was fantastic. They were the only company we could find who didn't charge an "after-hours" fee. Jesse was at our house working until 9:30pm, just to ensure we were able to get out door working for the next morning. Great company!

Precision Door is a great company. Jesse Allen did a great job and was friendly and knowledgeable. Jesse Allen did the job quickly and expertly! I will recommend Precision door to friends.

Went fine, though there was an issue with the repairman not giving me a discount I was due. After 2 calls about it the company refunded the total price of the service call (not the price of the remote) which was very fair.

The first guy they sent out, wasn't all that bad, but the company tried to pin everything on him. He said we need to change the tracks and the springs as that was hanging everything up and not closing. We went ahead and did that, and the cost around $900, the garage door after that wouldn't go down all the way down. We called them again and informed them that garage door wasn't working. A second guy, came out and said it was the garage door opener needed to be replaced. We agreed to replace the garage door opener. The guy Tanner, who was sent to install, said he didn't need to replace the censors on the garage door, but if they ended up needing to be changed they would come back free of charge to do so. The garage door censors wouldn't work so I called the the company back as the garage door censors wouldn't work. They said they should have been replaced in the package and that was included within the price. They sent Tanner back to install the new censors and he spliced the wires instead of replacing the wires, so now we have exposed wires and they're still exposed. I called to speak with the supervisor, but never got a response back.
