"Terrific! The guys called me 20 minutes before they arrived (on time) and were masked when I opened the front door. They also wore shoe coverings when they entered my home. The job went well and I was shown what the problem with the faucet was. (I like to know that kind of stuff!) The guys asked if there were any other water/plumbing issues I had that were causing me any problems that they could fix for me before they left. I will definitely hire St. Paul Pipeworks whenever I have another plumbing "adventure" in my house!! They get an A+ rating from me!!"

"We had Matt come out in September to help us with our messed up well situation. We had been advised we'd need an all new well at a cost of 20k+. Matt took a look, figured out the issue and created a custom solution that WORKS for a tiny fraction of the cost of a new well. We've got better pressure than we've had in over 20 years living here, and when I had Culligan out later, to test water, everything was working so well they didn't even try to sell me anything as there was nothing to improve upon. We lucked out finding Matt, and I only found him because of others reviews, so thank you for taking the time to leave them. Matt is a rare treasure in the well business, willing to do the harder jobs that require extra thinking and effort, without any complaint and while doing his best to keep the prices low."

"Happy with sales staff meeting my needs. Others I tried didn't listen to what I wanted, and were expensive. Workers were wonderful working with the many suprises during the remodel. Multiple layers on both floor and walls, and we found tile under tub that needed asbestos testing. Good with daily cleanup, and punctual. Finished bathroom is so pretty now."

"The job was done well. I noticed a small leak the following day and called to inquire about it. They sent the technician over within the hour and he replaced a supply line to the toilet. He was in and out within 10 minutes."

"What started out as a consult was quickly applied as a solution. The electricians were thorough in their assessment, smart in their recommendations, and fair in their quote."

Percolation Tests questions, answered by experts

The microscopic asbestos fibers do not cause eye irritation, throat irritation, or lung irritation. If you are inhaling fibers, you will not know it. This lack of immediate symptoms is one of the reasons why asbestos is so dangerous. You cannot know for certain if you are inhaling fibers, which is why you must wear safety gear if you could have any chance of an exposure while working.

Since DIY asbestos removal isn’t the best option to save money, there are other steps that you can take to help cut costs when dealing with this project. After speaking with your asbestos removal expert, discuss if encapsulation is an option. If it is, you can save between 15% to 25% on overall project costs over demolition and disposal. In addition, when speaking with your professional, discuss if there are any tax credits available for your removal project. Finally, check with your homeowner’s insurance to see if any removal costs might be covered. However, be aware that this is usually only applicable if the asbestos is due to a covered incident, like a tree falling into your roof.

Bathroom tiles can contain asbestos, just the same as patio tiles or kitchen tiles. Remember that asbestos was used primarily for its insulative and fire-resistant properties, both of which are desired in a house. Before we knew asbestos caused cancers and other diseases, it made a lot of sense to include it in many different building materials, including bathroom tiles.

Typical methods for asbestos removal include encapsulation, enclosure, and complete removal.

Since the EPA partially banned asbestos in 1989, it is no longer used to manufacture new siding in the United States; production had largely ceased by the early 1980s. Many other countries, such as Canada, Iceland, and Denmark, also have bans on asbestos. However, asbestos siding is still present in many homes built before the late 1980s. The only definitive way to know if your siding contains asbestos is to have it professionally lab-tested.
