I hired Randy’s to fix a recurring electrical issue that was cutting power to the upper floor of my home, and to install two new circuits, work completed over two visits about a week apart. The new circuits seem to work fine, but the original issue persists—despite spending over $5,000, including $1,000+ on diagnostics. The electrician spent about 45 minutes on the initial assessment, then replaced some wiring and breakers. The problem reoccurred before the second visit, which I reported by phone, but he was unaware of it when he arrived. He did minimal follow-up, blamed CFL bulbs, and later suggested the issue might be with outlet or switch connections—something I believe should have been checked from the start. The issue has since returned again, and after three follow-up calls in three days, I’ve received no response. On the positive side, the crew was professional, worked in a difficult attic space, and cleaned up well. Still, I expected better troubleshooting, communication, and post-service support for what I paid.

Josh (electrican) did a great job, but the simple task was overpriced. $80 just to look at the box and give a brief on fire detectors (which I didn't need, but they always pitch). Then an additional $85 for the actual job I contracted, to hook up 4 wires on the 240 volt electric thermostat. So $165 for less than 30 minutes.

From the moment they confirmed my appointment, to the time they left my house smiling and wishing me well, the gentlemen from Randy's Electric proved that they are the ONLY electrical service that I will ever need! Their estimated arrival time was between 10:00 am and 12 noon. Fortunately, I did not have to put my life on hold for 2 hours to wait for them. Shortly before 10:00 am, Jeremy called to let me know that they were in my neighborhood. He gave me an accurate arrival time. Wonderful! Even though I consider myself a messy housekeeper, both Jeremy and JD treated me with friendly respect. They left absolutely no junk behind! My 80-pound dog (very territorial) barked at them when they arrived, but they miraculously calmed her down. Within minutes, these experts restored 3 nonfunctioning indoor outlets to perfect working condition . . . wow! In less than one hour, they completely replaced a dead exterior outlet, rendering it much safer and easier to use. Amazingly, they had all the specialized parts in their truck! An average handyman would have taken weeks to order and acquire the necessary gizmos. The expertise and interpersonal skills of these 2 gentlemen exceeded my highest expectations! The price? Totally affordable, and precisely equal to their honest estimate. Randy's Electric is my TOP choice for all future electrical needs.

They were knowledgeable and did a great job of eliminating specific lights and switches to narrow down the root cause, which was the brand of circuit breaker that was previously installed. With a different brand installed we haven’t had any issues.

Wonderful work by Jonathan Griffen and his apprentice working with him, Christian Williams. Jonathan took time to review everything with me ahead of time, gave me complete quotes with a variety of options, gave me suggestions on what was realistic and was completely clear on expectations for work. He also provided me with quotes for some additional projects we plan to do in the future with thoughts on how to make them work the most efficiently within our budget and time constraints. We wanted some wiring done to prepare for installation of our new stove and had 2 outlets that needed work. They discovered the previous owners had used the wrong size wiring for the stove and showed us where the wires were burnt! We also wanted an outside outlet fixed and it turned out that it wasn't actually an outlet--it was just a long extension cord! How scary that we've been living with these fire hazards! Fortunately, the one inside outlet fix was routine. They were great at explaining the work in an understandable way, were clear about the estimated costs and left the house neat when they were finished. I'll sleep better tonight.
