"Robby did a great job. He cleaned and blew out the drain lines for the furnace humidifier and the air conditioner. He replaced the April-aire humidipad filter. He cleaned inside the furnace cabinet, cleaned the flame sensor, and checked the wiring. He checked that the carbon monoxide levels are within normal limits."

"Outstanding pricing and quick installation on a new heating and AC system. Installation of new equipment was clean and very professional looking. Justin in sales did an excellent job of listening to my concerns with the old system and proposing a new system to improve heating and cooling comfort in my home. Hvac technicians Vitaliy and Igor did a wonderful job of system installation and checkout. I could not have asked for a better experience."

"Two techs from Integrity Furnace And Air Ducts came to my house to clean my air ducts. They were on time and started right away. They put there equipment though my air ducts. They did not tell me what they were doing until I asked. They give me a very vague answer. When they were about done the one guy asked to use my bathroom. When they were done they pulled out my furnace filter which was full of dust. They said they would blow it off and put back in. Lucky I had a new furnace filter to put in. They charged me $200.00. And were gone in 45 minutes. That meant that each tech got about $133.00 an hour. They did not show me before and after pictures of my air ducts. Which I thought I was paying for. You would think that would be included. And they charged me 7.57% sales tax instead of 7.525% . I called them about this and they refused to return the difference."

"The crew of 3 were very polite and got to work quickly.  The only error was that although I asked to have the empty refrigerator cleaned, they failed to clean the freezer compartment.  Mike Newcome responded that this was a lack of communication on my part.  I believe that when you ask to have your refrigerator cleaned, it includes the small freezer compartment inside the refrigerator.  This was not a big deal however, as the total job was well done and cost effective.  I would use Details again.

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Unfortunately, a freon leak will persist even when your AC unit is off. The freon in the AC unit is under pressure no matter the status of the system, so it will continue to drip through the leak even when you shut off the entire unit. It will continue to leak freon until it’s completely empty.

A window AC unit is not completely silent. You’ll hear the sound of air blowing, and if you put your ear right up next to the unit, you may hear a slight hiss or gurgle as the refrigerant flows through the system. That said, if your system is making a running water sound, a loud banging sound, a grinding sound, or physically vibrating, you may be facing an issue or malfunction with your AC unit.

No, it's not advisable to only replace the outside AC unit connected to your system. AC units are designed to work as a cohesive system, and older units work differently than newer units. Therefore, replacing only one component can lead to incompatibilities that affect the system’s performance. Replacing one component can void your warranty, costing you money for repairs.

While spending money once or twice a year to tuneup your AC and furnace might seem like a waste of money, think again. The cost of HVAC maintenance is far less than the cost of replacing your furnace or AC unit, regardless of the type of HVAC system you have. Paying this smaller fee now will help you avoid paying much more significant costs in the future. Not to mention, having a serviced AC and heating system will help keep your home comfortable, no matter the season.

To reduce AC startup power for a whole-house generator, install a soft start kit or hard start capacitor, which lowers the initial surge by gradually ramping up the compressor. Using a smart load manager can also help by staggering startup loads, preventing a system overload and future costly repairs.
