"The Northwest Landscape team worked over two days to install a new Toro irrigation system. The team was polite and hard working. After installing they came back to make adjustments. The system worked well throughout the season after installation. Sean Walsh was excellent to work with.

"Representative came by Monday after inquiry and did overview of property. Proposed plan & estimate were available in a short time. Contractor contacted city to obtain information and permission needed, as we decided to irrigate our lawn from a back yard pond (small abandoned quarry). Contractor knowledgeable and easy to reach. Originally planned date of installation had to be postponed a week due to a crew member injury. Contractor arranged marking of buried yard utilities for both dates. Work was accomplished expeditiously in a single day; the sprinkler system appears to work as intended. All extraneous material was removed from site."

Due to its slow growth, Bahia grass does not generally take over weeds. In fact, the opposite can be true. Young Bahia grass is susceptible to being taken over by weeds. 

Likewise, in the cool season, Bahia grass goes into a dormant state that can allow weeds that thrive in early spring to get the upper hand. If you want to prevent weeds from taking over your yard, remove them by hand or apply a Bahia grass-friendly pre-emergent herbicide to your lawn before weeds have a chance to appear.

Even the most shade-tolerant turf grass needs at least three or four hours of full sunlight or a good amount of partial sunlight throughout the day.
