"JP and his team were excellent from the moment I entered a request on Angi to repair a bifold door. JP was extremely fast in reaching out to learn about my project as well as providing very transparent pricing. His employee, Aaron, who arrived to my home to make the repairs was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and an excellent communicator on the root cause of the problem and how he was going to repair the bifold door. Highly recommend JP Handyman & Remodeling for your home improvement projects!"

"Started with effort to locate source of a small water leak in a small bathroom and shower next to our master bedroom that left water stains on the ceiling of finished space below. We contacted Scott Duneman to help determine the source and do necessary repairs. At a minimum we knew we must remove the old tile in the shower to determine if it was tile or a plumbing defect that needed to be addressed. We were impressed with his analysis of the issues and range of options he presented to just do the minimum amount of work or incorporate into a complete renovation of the entire bathroom. Based on our review of his previous similar work and recommendations of past customers, we asked for a detailed cost estimate for various phases of the project to include new wall and floor tile and glass shower doors and vanity, mirror and toilet. The proposal he developed was very thorough and appeared realistically priced so we decided on the complete renovation. He was very skilled and well organized and efficient in carrying out all facets of the project, offering suggestions and seeking our input of design and other considerations and creatively solving problems we threw at him with our choice of tile and fixtures, and finished the project on time and within the budget we agreed on. Based on our experience, Scott exceeds the definition of "Handyman", proving to be a skilled craftsman in many facets of his work, especially his expertise with tile. We couldn't be more pleased with his work, professionalism and good communication and hope to use him again!"

Small jobs welcome

"Joe did a great job and did all the tasks quickly. I would not hesitate to hire them again. One of the best things was that Joe Raymond responded right away to my request. NONE of the (3) companies responded at all when I listed in the HomeAdvisor app and Joe was the only (1) of (2) companies that responded when I listed in the Angi app and Joe came out the next business day to our house. I really did not even care that much about getting any quotes, I just wanted to get a handyman hired and to get the tasks done ASAP. To only have (1) out of (5) companies even bother to respond is pretty disappointing."

Mailbox Repair questions, answered by experts

To reinstall a sliding drawer, align the tracks on both sides of the drawer with the corresponding grooves in the cabinet. Tilt the front of the drawer upward and carefully slide it into place, ensuring that the wheels or rollers on the drawer fit securely into the tracks. Gently push the drawer in until it fully engages with the cabinet. Test the sliding motion to confirm it's properly aligned and functioning. Adjust as needed for a smooth operation.

If your drawer slides are made of metal or plastic, it’s best to use white lithium grease to lubricate them. The dense formula of that compound creates long-lasting results and should prevent you from having to re-grease the drawer slides frequently. Test the white lithium grease on a small, less-visible area of the slides first to ensure it doesn’t damage the finish before applying to the entire fixture.

Furniture repair costs around $200 on average, and most project costs fall between $100 and $500. The price you can expect to pay will depend on the type of furniture you’re repairing, the extent of the damage, and the size and age of the piece. Reupholstering and couch frame repair are the most expensive, sometimes costing $1,000, while fixes like repairing a scratch or replacing a spring in a couch or armchair will usually cost under $100. Older furniture requires more care and will typically cost more to repair.

Yes, you can repair cat scratches on leather furniture. A quick fix that won’t repair roughness is a leather recoloring balm that helps scratches blend in. Otherwise, use the following process.

  1. Clean the area and trim loose fibers.

  2. Rub leather binding glue all over the affected area.

  3. Sand the area down with fine-grit sandpaper and clean off any residue.

  4. Fill holes, scratches, and gouges with leather putty from a leather repair kit.

  5. Sand the area down again and clean off any residue.

  6. Apply leather colorant in several layers.

  7. Seal the color in with a leather sealant and finish.
