"A big thanks to this customer for the nice review and recognizing the effort we at O&M did this 2020 fall sprinkler blow out season. The early unseasonably cold weather in the Minneapolis metro area during this 2020 fall season made us at O&M jump thru some extra hoops to inform customers of the possible freezing risk of their sprinkler systems and reschedule customers. We sent out an email with info on how to protect their system until we could get there and we also offered to move any scheduled later date appt's to an earlier date (the best we could in among other previously scheduled appt's). I have to applaud my 2 tech's Danny and Rick as they put in some long hours in helping to get to as many customers as possible much faster than normal during this blow out season. "We did spring clean up for this cust summer 2018 & they loved our work. They asked us to put them on our 18 fall clean up (FC) list. 2018 fall we had a small snowfall that took 2+ days to mostly melt (melted enough that could we resume FC's), but it stayed COLD. Due to conditions some leaves were frozen, but we were still able get up 99.5 % of leaves while doing our FC's. We mulch mowed this property 2x in Oct 18 (not blew under shrubs a few times). The Flawn is small as it is a pie shaped lot in a cul-de-sac. They may have cleaned up some leaves in front, but they did not clean out leaves from under shrubs nor were we informed that they did front. Cust watched crew perform the FC on 11/19/18 thru the windows. In their Byard we used our normal EQ to get leaves picked up, but some were frozen hard to the ground. Cust stated via email 7 mo AFTER job completed (I have all email correspondence to back up what I'm writing here) we saw crew come back w/rakes to get frozen leaves up, which tells me we did everything possible to get that lawn as clean as we could considering the conditions. Bottom line is we did clean up all the leaves we could that were not frozen. Any remaining leaves would not harm the lawn & could easily be cleaned up in spring 19. Work was performed on 11/19/18 and billed on 11/20/18 via email. A reminder was sent on 12/1/18. A $10. late fee was accessed 1/1/19 via email. Other copies were mailed over the next few months along w/several un-returned VM's. Yes this customer was charged full price as we had not heard a peep out of this customer about the work being unsatisfactory or a Q about the bill until I sent a $50. late fee (per terms of signed agreement) on 6/2/19. On 6/27/19 we receive a letter from cust w/partial payment? Normally I'd apologize to this customer after seeing this review, but cust NEVER informed us of their unhappiness w/work & was very delayed paying for services. Court was only mentioned as we deserved FULL payment as job was completed as specified. Warren G"
"This is a new customer for us that is located just a mile from our shop. We give our customers a few dates to pick from during fall blow out season. He liked that we offered more than just 1 day to blow out his system. Our current system is to send out post cards (going to email in 2020) w/dates that we will be in their area w/out a trip charge as we working the area for the day. If post card sent customers don't call or email for an appointment w/in 10 days we give a courtesy call to see if they'd like schedule. During the start up of her system we moved a problematic head located near where a fence gate had kept getting broken by the gate. Actually pretty simple fix that didn't take much time at all. "Thanks for the nice review. This customer called w/an issue that a previous company said required replacing the controller and some valve replacements, which I thought sounded extreme via the phone conversation. The real credit of solving the issue goes to the service tech Danny on this service call. This was only a 4 zone system, but an extra wire was wired into the controller causing a fault code to show. After removing the extra wire and test running the system twice the fault code was gone. We were happy to help solve this customers issue with only short visit to the property and no parts were needed. Actual total cost for this visit was $60.00. "Thanks for the nice review! This family had built a new home which included a swimming pool w/a fire pit that was off the corner of the pool and had concrete completely surrounding the fire pit. While I was there quoting the install of a system, after a recent rain, the fire pit was full of water making the pit useless due to no drainage in the clay below. I suggested that we could bore under the concrete to install a pipe for drainage while we were there installing the system. Helping customers to solve other issues not related to install of a system is gratifying! We have on other occasions installed below ground sump pump drainage lines, so the customer doesn't have an unsightly tube that they have laying above ground to drain the sump pump. "This is the 1st time we've worked this customer. He called us for a 2nd opinion as he was advised by another service provider that he needed new valves and a new controller as the controller was showing a fault (?). A fault code in a controller usually does not require replacement of all the parts that were recommended by the previous company. We found that an unnecessary extra wire was wired into the controller that was causing his issue. After removing the wire/testing the system a few times the fault no longer occurred- issue solved very economically (1 hr of labor NO parts!). Thank you for the nice review."
