I was given a 4-hour window and advised I would be called 20 minutes prior to arrival, which is exactly what happened. The two gentlemen were fast, professional and very thorough. My fireplace was extremely dirty and hadn't been used or cleaned since before I bought my house. Prior to leaving, one of the gentlemen walked me through the work they performed. My fireplace looks and runs beautifully! Since I've never used a fireplace before, he happily gave me a step-by-step tutorial on how to use, adjust, clean, troubleshoot and maintain, and gave me recommendations on future service appointments. He also looked at my HVAC ducts/vents and informed me of other services provided by the company. The best part is that he was not the least-bit pushy--simply informed, offered and recommended. "The only model thermostat they offered was high priced ( $350 plus installation or $453 total), High tech, WiFi link to smartphone, programmable. I told him I wanted a simpler model and was told the only other option was more complicated and more expensive and that "this is how thermostats are now". I told him I was upset, but had no other options. I now know this was 'extortion' , since other simpler models are still available and would have been better suited to this senior citizen. A furnace cleaning the same month prompted a list of things I should buy despite the furnace passing it's tests.....be prepared for a sales pitch. They did come promptly and were polite. I will not hire them again."
