"The two plumbers that came to the house did an excellent and efficient job fixing a number of problems in the original plumbing on the sinks, faucets, and toilets of a ~50 year old house. There were some problems with both the old plumbing and some of the new faucets that we bought as replacements that they solved on the spot. They were very respectful and hard working. I appreciated the detailed list of the cost of all of the work in advance of their visit. They came in a little under the estimate."

"The job was done well. I noticed a small leak the following day and called to inquire about it. They sent the technician over within the hour and he replaced a supply line to the toilet. He was in and out within 10 minutes."

"Thomas was great - courteous, explained everything well, friendly. Only reason I'm giving a B and not an A is because of the price for fixing the toilet. Afterwards, I researched and learned I could have gotten a new toilet for less than the cost of the repairs."

"In my opinion, Tony is a terrific plumber as well as a very personable fellow. He arrived on-time, removed and installed new kitchen faucet and sink drains/strainers, removed old bathroom toilet and installed our new Toto toilet. Tony left the kitchen and bathroom spotless and removed all the rubbish. I would highly recommend Tony based upon our wonderful experience with him."

"Technician arrived promptly, was courteous and went straight to work. He quickly found the problem, a plastic clip from a toilet bowl cleaner that was blocking the pipe and preventing anything from passing through. The person booking my appointment was very pleasant and professional on the phone and overall the service call couldn't have gone more smoothly. A+ for price, very reasonable and worth every penny!"

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Tools include pipe wrenches, plungers, and augers. Professionals use advanced equipment for complex issues.

To drain a broken toilet, place towels or plastic sheeting around the base in case of splashing or overflowing. Next, shut off the toilet’s water supply, usually via a valve on the wall behind the toilet. Begin flushing the handle to remove as much water as possible from the tank and the bowl. Don’t flush the toilet if it’s clogged, though. From there, use a large sponge to soak up any remaining water and wring it over a bucket.

There are several ways to save money on a bathroom remodel through proper planning and savvy design strategies. To reduce costs, consider the following:

  • Purchase your own materials: Buy your own bathroom fixtures, hardware, and other materials to avoid contractor upcharges and delivery fees.

  • Shop smart for big-ticket items: Save on pricey items like tiles and tubs by shopping sales and at discount stores.

  • Avoid major layout changes: Keep plumbing in its current location. Opt to replace fixtures rather than moving them to avoid significant renovation work.

  • Focus on high-impact, low-cost updates: Make affordable but impactful smaller changes, such as upgrading hardware, installing new lighting, and adding stylish but economical accessories.

  • DIY where possible: Handle easier parts of the remodel yourself, like painting or installing light fixtures, to save on labor costs.

  • Time your remodel strategically: Consider remodeling in the spring, which tends to be a lower-demand time of year and may result in lower costs.

Yes, you can clean a toilet tank with white vinegar. Before you do, shut off the water supply to the toilet. Then, flush it to empty the tank. Next, combine one part vinegar with one part water in a spray bottle and spray the mixture inside the tank. Let it sit for 10 minutes, then rinse away the vinegar by pouring clean water into the tank. Make sure the tank is empty, then dip a scrub brush in vinegar and clean the tank’s inside walls. Turn the water back on and flush again to rinse away the vinegar.

There are a few reasons why this could be the case. More than likely, your flapper is worn out and needs to be replaced. When it’s worn out, it lowers the water pressure during each flush leading to inefficient flushing. Luckily, replacing a toilet flapper is a simple repair that should only take about 30 minutes.
