"Exceptional service from start to finish. Had another contractor tell me the line was collapsed and needed replacement - ready jetter came out the next day and was able to hydrojet the line from my house to the street and provided a video of the full line after the service. 10/10 would recommend!"

"Mr. Pipey Plumbing is awesome! I had a new renant move in Friday. He found the shower and sink drains clogged, so I called Mr. Pipey at 3:00, set up an appointment, they showed up same day from a job location down the road, assessed the issue, and rocked out my drain issues in the bathroom. If you're dealing with a clogged sink drain, you may be able to avoid removing the drain by using a plunger to dislodge the clog. While we associate plungers with toilets, they can do the same job with your sink drain. Be gentle, though, as forceful movements can push clogs further into your plumbing system and make them more difficult to remove. Additionally, make sure you’re using a sink plunger—with a flat bottom—and not a toilet plunger—which has a smaller bottom protruding from the larger flat piece.

Inspect regularly for clogs, clean drain lines, and ensure grading directs water away from the foundation.

Start by pouring hot—but not boiling—water down the drain. The heat of the water may be enough to break down the clog. You can also try ½ cup of dish soap or 1 cup each of white vinegar and baking soda. If you choose a chemical unclogging product, ensure it’s appropriate for toilets to avoid damage.

When you put baking soda and vinegar down the drain, they chemically react and help break down clogs. It’s not going to work for every type of clog, however. For example, it’s not the best way to get rid of grease buildup. For grease, you should try boiling water and white vinegar instead.

For homes with a septic tank, harsh chemicals like those found in drain cleaner or bleach aren’t recommended. Some chemical drain cleaners can disrupt the balance of bacteria in the septic tank or damage your pipes. For homes with a septic tank, you can choose drain cleaners specifically formulated for use with septic tanks or go with a drain snake. When in doubt, make sure you know who to call for a clogged drain.
