"Chris is a hard worker and has varied skills in both indoor and outdoor services. He removed cabinets and an island and then drywalled the area. Once the work was completed, I asked him to assemble a closet kit and fix broken doors. He did an excellent job, and I will be hiring him again to fix my deck."

Customers say: True professional

"Have been using New Leaf Landscaping for several years and they do a great job. Besides grasscutting and edging they cleaned out planting beds of weeds and small brush and put in new mulch. After they clean up I can't tell they were here. Definitely recommend to anyone!!"

"We had a major yard clean up project including bushes to be removed entirely and others to be trimmed and reshaped, several trees had to be trimmed, major leaf cleanup, etc. Monty and his crew did an excellent job. They arrived on time, always courteous and polite, and get the job done. I would definitely call them again in the future"

"I hired Rico to power wash my driveway and sidewalks before the house was put up for sale. He arrived on time and worked steadily. The drive had been badly stained black by leaves over the years and was a real challenge. The stains were gone and the pictures turned out great. Thank you Rico!"

Small jobs welcome

"Alex was kind, professional, and very easy to work with. He showed up on time, did an excellent job trimming/removing our shrubs, and made sure everything was cleaned up thoroughly before he left. Communication was great from start to finish ? he kept us informed and followed through exactly as promised. I would definitely hire him again and highly recommend his services."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

The best way to remove lead paint is by wet hand sanding and removing all dust and residue with a HEPA vacuum. Professionals may also strip and scrape lead-based paint with a paint scraper. In some cases, you may choose to have a pro encapsulate or enclose your lead-based paint surface by covering it with a sealant or a new material. You may also choose to replace the material altogether.

By using PPE, sealing work areas, and following containment procedures.

No. Standard homeowners insurance does not cover any kind of lead remediation, focusing instead on sudden, unpreventable events like fires and theft. Many insurance companies will specifically exclude lead paint removal, since it tends to be an expensive and unavoidable project. The exception is if the lead surface is damaged during a covered event (like a flood) and homeowners insurance pays its replacement.

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a chance that any paint on your hardwood floors could be lead paint—especially if it was already there when you moved in. Because lead is toxic, hiring a licensed pro to remove it is mandatory. The average price for professional lead paint removal ranges from $1,500 to $5,300 and depends on the scope of the project.

Lead removal is crucial in older homes to eliminate risks of lead poisoning, which can severely affect health, particularly in children, by impacting development and cognitive functions.
