"Yesterday, Monday, 11/23, Joe and Tyler moved our furniture and belonging from our home in Canton (8730 Eastham Drive) to Westland (34510 Fountain Boulevard). I am writing to express my deep appreciation for Joe and Tyler's care and consideration shown to both homes and to our belongings and furniture during the move. Prior to beginning each move, they assessed the homes and degree of difficulty in moving each item. They were very professional and friendly throughout, in spite of the challenge of moving our belongings to the new home, a townhouse style apartment on three floors! My wife and I are very grateful for their work and diligence in making the move. We highly recommend Bos Moving both for the care and concern shown by the staff and for the reasonable cost."

"Cory and Colton arrived on the time schedule, did a survey on the apartment and quickly started moving the furniture. They were very professional and did the best they could to finish as early as possible."

"I had a wonderful experience with your company From my Move on November 7th. The entire crew were fast and friendly. Not a thing was scratched or bent/broken or dented. You all worked ahead of the clock and I am very happy with everything from start to finish. I would not hesitate to recommend you to anybody that would need to move. Again thank you for working with our family on our move. I can tell your team is a family also."

"Chris was our lead mover. He and his team were very professional and carefully moved all of our items into a pod. They took apart our furniture, unmounted tvs and wrapped art work. We are planning on using all my sons again for our move into the new home. The move ended up costing more than we planned due to needing extra moving supplies."

"Amazing crew!!! I've done a lot of moving over the years and this had to be one the easiest, stress free moves. They were thorough, safe, clean and on time. They moved things quickly and took great care to make sure everything was wrapped properly. I would absolutely use this company again for any future needs!!!"

Moving questions, answered by experts

For a successful move in Troy, knowing your property’s building type is key—high-rise condos often need elevator scheduling and parking permits. Check HOA rules for move-in restrictions and confirm if your street allows moving trucks. Consider the home’s layout, weather patterns, and how close you are to busy roads, as these factors help local movers plan the safest, most efficient route for your move.

Helpful?

In Troy, if you notice dents in drywall, scratched flooring, or damaged door frames after a move, these likely point to moving-related issues. Problems like uneven floors or cracks in the foundation are usually unrelated to moving and may be due to Troy’s clay soil. When in doubt, a local moving professional can help determine if the issue is from your recent move or another source.

Helpful?

In Troy, signs that moving work might need to be redone include scuffed walls or floors, especially near tight corners or entryways, and items damaged by Michigan’s seasonal humidity or cold. If you find missing boxes, disorganized inventory, or appliances not properly reconnected, these are red flags. Local movers can help assess whether issues stem from improper handling during your last move.

Helpful?

Local moving companies in Troy set project boundaries by reviewing city permit requirements, HOA move-in rules, and coordinating with utility providers for safe transitions. They factor in school calendars, peak traffic times, and neighborhood-specific restrictions. Movers also assess insurance needs and tailor their approach for historic homes, condos, or newer developments, ensuring your move fits both your property and Troy’s unique community standards.

Helpful?

Delaying your move in Troy can mean dealing with icy roads and unpredictable weather, which can complicate scheduling with local movers. You might miss key school enrollment dates or risk losing your preferred moving window. Delays can also lead to higher storage fees and potential utility service gaps, making the transition more stressful for your household.
