Shortly thereafter our toilets were blocked up. We called again and they had someone here within an hour even though it was a Memorial Day Weekend Saturday! Kevin checked both septic tanks and found one of them had not been emptied the last time we had them serviced. He quickly and efficiently temporarily cleared the blockage so we could use the toilets and wait to have the septic tank company come in next week to empty the second tank. After chatting with him about our water softener, he offered to test the water for us when he got done and found our 5+ year old water softener was not working at all. We bought a new water softener on the spot and it will be installed on Wednesday. Michigan Plumbing is now on our "must call" list of service providers
- Michigan Plumbing Incthis is a company that is on call 24/7 I looked at their webpage, and sent an e-mail on Sunday. Jo answered my e-mail, telling me they would contact me on Monday. They did and set up an appointment for Monday between 10-12. Tom 102 arrived shortly after 10:00 am. There were 3 possibilities that was the cause of my water in the basement. after running his camera though the line, etc. came upon the plug in the line to the septic tank. All went well until the "back spash" that was caused by the line opening (I guess) up until this time there was no smell of septic tank water. We discovered this as Tom was getting his things around to leave. Water dirty or clean goes where it wants to (under file cabinets,etc) I have been moving and cleaning with strong bleach water ever since to get the smell out of the basement. I am sure that this does not come under the plumbers duties

The technician who was on the job was knowledgeable, and very quickly identified that the last company that we had hired to clear our tanks did a poor job - he took time to explain what we found, and why he believed they did a poor job (yet in a way to not "bad mouth" another company, but to make sure we knew what was important to maintain our septic system properly). Then he went above and beyond and spent nearly 2 hours working to get our tanks cleaned out. He also gave some other advice to help maintain our septic system. The listed price was more than fair....but on top of that he did not charge anything extra for the additional service/work and advice. I will absolutely be using D & J for our future needs, no question. Hire them, you won't be disappointed

"Chris was very punctual and easy to work with in regards to setting up the initial home inspection appointment. On the day of the inspection he showed up early and he spent over 4.5hrs going over all of the outside and interior details of the home to make sure nothing is overlooked. Chris took his time and he tested and looked at everything. I should mention this is not my first home purchase or home inspection and I was very impressed. I would highly recommend Chris's services to anyone that is looking to have their home inspected by a professional not someone that just comes in does a once over in 1-2 hrs and collects your money. The report was completed promptly the same day and uploaded to a database that evening so I could review and sent it to anyone else that wanted to see the inspection. The radon tests will be available 48hrs later and he was able to provide a good septic drain field inspection by utilizing core samples. Overall this was an outstanding experience with high marks.

"I called the company on Monday and was able to schedule Wednesday. The driver was polite, professional, and arrived within the established 2 hour window. The two hour window is not terribly convenient, as it does not get set until the day of delivery. As such you end up keeping the whole day open until you get the call. The price seems high until you see the driver effortlessly carry the bags down, which probably saved me some chiropractor expense. Will definitely use them again.

"It went perfectly. Hosco called ahead and came out on time. I explained that I had had all these other companies out who couldn't or wouldn't attempt to fix the clog. They came in and worked with the township Public Works dept. to possibly locate the cleanouts and manhole and came in to locate and use their auger to clear the blockage. They also, unlike the other companies, did a very good job of cleaning up any mess and also spraying disinfectant. They also helped move heavier items in my stairwell to make room for their machinery. They were great and the bill was unexpectedly a very good price. I would absolutely recommend this company highly!! The lead tech was Jeff and his helper was very helpful, also. I couldn't be more pleased with their service!
