"Century Construction bailed me out from a horrible situation with my rental house. I hired another contractor to reconstruct our aging front porch. We realized after a few month this prior contractor wasn’t licensed, didn’t pull permit or submit proper plans. I called Aaron at Century Construction and the fixed everything. He worked with the city of Lansing to submit the proper plans and obtain building permit. They did a wonderful job on finishing the reconstruct, even correcting prior contractors mistakes. Price was cheaper and work completed in a timely manner.

"He did it while we were gone. I hired him to do the work and we left on vacation and when we came back, it was all done. My wife and I had met him before. He gave us an estimate on doing some counter work and his estimate was more than what we wanted to pay so we ended up doing it ourselves but we liked him. When we needed to get this other work done, we talked to him. He told us that he does it all; he does everything. He put the fence up for a couple grand, the shed is a 12 ft by 16 ft, two story shed so he painted that for $500.00. He removed the old driveway and put the new concrete and did the decorative side for about $8,000.00. Builders don't usually do the work themselves, they have others who do the work for them. Tim has a crew that does some things themselves and some things he jobs out. The fence came out flawless. Everybody was very pleased about the fence. My wife had staked out some ferns that she didn't want trampled down when they put the fence in and they did a good job about avoiding those. There were a couple of issues with the painting on the shed but as soon as I brought it to Tim's attention, he took care of it and made it look excellent. The concrete work that he did was superb but I would say that he had initially said that they would plant grass seed and restore the yard to the way it was before they started. Part of it was my problem because we had someone stay at the house while we were gone and we asked her to do some watering and my neighbors tell me that she didn't really do it daily like she was supposed to and the grass didn't grow. I told Tim that I was disappointed and he took care of it.

"Salesman Phil was a pleasure to work with; he was prompt with the paperwork & returning calls, and the installation was completed when promised. Despite discussing the gate swing with Phil, verifying that the drawings were changed, and informing the installation crew on the day of work; the gate was installed swinging the wrong way! However, the gate swing was corrected on the same day that I called to inform them! I have only a minor complaint; when the gate swing was change, it caused a noticeably larger gap between the gate and fence. Because everything else was done with such great detail, I would have expected that the gap would have been concealed by adding a 1/2 board, similar to how they finished off the end of the fence.
