this is a company that is on call 24/7 I looked at their webpage, and sent an e-mail on Sunday. Jo answered my e-mail, telling me they would contact me on Monday. They did and set up an appointment for Monday between 10-12. Tom 102 arrived shortly after 10:00 am. There were 3 possibilities that was the cause of my water in the basement. after running his camera though the line, etc. came upon the plug in the line to the septic tank. All went well until the "back spash" that was caused by the line opening (I guess) up until this time there was no smell of septic tank water. We discovered this as Tom was getting his things around to leave. Water dirty or clean goes where it wants to (under file cabinets, etc) I have been moving and cleaning with strong bleach water ever since to get the smell out of the basement. I am sure that this does not come under the plumbers duties

They were real good. They did not have to dig up our ground and that is what pleased me the most. He was very professional, courteous, and friendly. We are going to go with them again. He lets you know how often he thinks you need to get it done which for us he told us longer. When we initially called he said we probably could have waited about two years longer, which is a lot of savings. He was honest and he was timely. They will be on call, and I think he told us maybe four and a half or five years next time

We called on Memorial Day Weekend Saturday and got an appointment for next Tuesday because of some bubbles and gurgling in our toilets. Shortly thereafter our toilets were blocked up. We called again and they had someone here within an hour even though it was a Memorial Day Weekend Saturday! Kevin checked both septic tanks and found one of them had not been emptied the last time we had them serviced. He quickly and efficiently temporarily cleared the blockage so we could use the toilets and wait to have the septic tank company come in next week to empty the second tank. After chatting with him about our water softener, he offered to test the water for us when he got done and found our 5+ year old water softener was not working at all. We bought a new water softener on the spot and it will be installed on Wednesday. Michigan Plumbing is now on our "must call" list of service providers

D & J Septic Services Inc
5.0
I hired D & J to clean my septic tanks, and in short they were fantastic. The technician who was on the job was knowledgeable, and very quickly identified that the last company that we had hired to clear our tanks did a poor job - he took time to explain what we found, and why he believed they did a poor job (yet in a way to not "bad mouth" another company, but to make sure we knew what was important to maintain our septic system properly). Then he went above and beyond and spent nearly 2 hours working to get our tanks cleaned out. He also gave some other advice to help maintain our septic system. The listed price was more than fair....but on top of that he did not charge anything extra for the additional service/work and advice. I will absolutely be using D & J for our future needs, no question. Hire them, you won't be disappointed

J & A Drain Cleaners

This was not an emergency, we have 2 toilets and only one was slow to flush, not flushing completely. I called and scheduled service for the next day. A young man, Clint, arrived at the expected time, did the job in a friendly and professional manner and explained how the blockage in the sewer line was really what was causing the toilet problem. He put clean paper down around the drain access and used a matt under his router, he ran the sewer line, the toilet runs great. He cleaned up well, though there was some splash from the roots/router near where he cleaned. I'm a neat/germ freak so I used a disinfectant even after he wiped up after himself with paper towel. There were also some wet marks where the router wheels left some dirt rolling through my house, but there's 5 inches of snow outside, so I expected to need to clean up a bit more after he left. I would recommend J and A Drain Cleaners - It's a dirty job, and they got it done at a reasonable price with minimal clean up for me. I'm happy

I dug up the septic tank lid myself. They arrived about a half hour early, which is more than fine with me. Very nice guys. The experience veteran and the brawn. Very professional and informative. Once they got the lid off and started pumping, the veteran could see that the tank had probably not been emptied at all by the previous owner - it was almost full. About twenty to thirty minutes to empty the tank. Very informative, telling me about what he was finding as we went along. Afterwards, they both gave me wonderful advice on maintenance, frequency of when it needs emptied, as well as great paperwork to have on hand. Very friendly professionals. Will definitely call them for the next service if they are still in business

Received prompt, courteous call back when I left a message, all 3 times I called. The price quoted was price charged. I don't live at the property so I wasn't there when they pumped it out. It was done the day they said. They mailed me a bill and accepted credit card payment by phone. I am pleased they will send a reminder the next time they think it might need done. No complaints. Friendly staff. Happy to do business with them again
Optimus Home Inspection LLC is a full service home inspection company. All properties undergo a thorough top to bottom inspection performed by an InterNACHI certified home inspector. A full color, highly detailed report is sent electronically the same day and we are always available for post inspection questions that may arise
"Chris was very punctual and easy to work with in regards to setting up the initial home inspection appointment. On the day of the inspection he showed up early and he spent over 4.5hrs going over all of the outside and interior details of the home to make sure nothing is overlooked. Chris took his time and he tested and looked at everything. I should mention this is not my first home purchase or home inspection and I was very impressed. I would highly recommend Chris's services to anyone that is looking to have their home inspected by a professional not someone that just comes in does a once over in 1-2 hrs and collects your money. The report was completed promptly the same day and uploaded to a database that evening so I could review and sent it to anyone else that wanted to see the inspection. The radon tests will be available 48hrs later and he was able to provide a good septic drain field inspection by utilizing core samples. Overall this was an outstanding experience with high marks.

"We called Hunt after the Ball Septic failed to show up. Hunt responded first thing the next day, arrived on time, and completed the job very efficiently. Both the office staff and the technician were very professional. I liked that he explained the issues we had and answered my questions. The final bill was $80 less than the same service from that other company 5 years ago!

Wolverine Engineers & Surveyors, Inc. has been providing engineering and surveying services for nearly 100 years.
"I contacted this provider for a quote to do a border survey of my property (2.75 arces). While they could not match the lowest bid, they were very helpful in helping my understand the surveying process. They spent a good amount of time with me on the phone talking about what I could tell from the previous surveys I already had, and what I should expect from a border survey. They were willing to be a little creative on pricing, and would have provided surveying for my neighbors lots for a nominal fee increase, thereby enabling cost sharing. My neighbors weren't interested, so this didn't help me but it might help you.
<br /> In short they were very knowledgeable and professional I would would recommend that you give them a chance to bid on your surveying job.

Replacing a drain field requires digging up quite a bit of land and involves a decent amount of testing. Using this guide, you’ll learn how much it costs to replace a drain field based on a few key factors such as size and type of septic system.
Answer: There are several signs that indicate your septic tank could be full. These include standing water over your septic tank, a strong odor coming from your yard, gurgling water, slow drains, or a sewage backup. While many of these signs could also be indicative of a clogged system, they should all be checked out by a professional ASAP to avoid costly damages. In the absence of any of these signs, it’s recommended that septic tanks be emptied every 3 to 5 years on average.
How often should a septic tank be serviced?
Answer: On average, septic tanks should be serviced every 3 to 5 years in the absence of any worrying signs that the tank is clogged or full. The size of your septic tank, the number of people living in your home, and your average water usage will all impact how often your septic tank needs to be serviced.
What are the most common causes of septic tank failure?
Answer: The most common cause of septic tank failure is improper maintenance. Failing to pump a septic tank on the appropriate schedule will cause septic tank failure and likely result in a costly septic tank repair or replacement. On average, septic tanks should be pumped every 3 to 5 years, but the size of your tank, the number of people in your home, and your average water usage may shorten or extend this timeframe.
How much does it cost to pump a septic tank?
Answer: The cost to pump a septic tank is $400 on average or about $0.30 per gallon. The size of your septic tank, as well as local labor costs, will impact the cost of pumping your septic tank. Most septic tanks are between 600 and 2,000 gallons in size, meaning the average cost range is between $180 to $600.
How much does it cost to install a septic system?
Answer: The cost to install a septic tank system is between $3,060 and $9,810, on average. The size of the septic tank you choose, the land you’re installing it on, the type of system you choose, and local labor costs will all influence the total cost of installing a septic system. Anaerobic septic tanks (those that don’t need oxygen) typically cost between $3,000 and $8,000. Aerobic systems, which utilize oxygen to activate bacteria and are popular on smaller properties, usually cost between $10,000 and $20,000.
How long does a septic system last?
Answer: When septic systems are well maintained, they can last up to 30 years or more. If a septic system isn’t properly maintained, such as when it isn’t pumped regularly, it may malfunction and require costly repairs or a premature replacement. In general, septic tank pumping is recommended every 3 to 5 years to ensure the septic system lasts as long as possible.
