"I had one company come out to diagnose the problem. He quickly told me that the condenser outside was ruined and gave me a price to replace the unit. I called Toasty's and Michelle quickly got someone out to my house (it turned out to be the owner). He told me what was wrong and gave me an estimate. Ventless portable units, often called evaporative coolers, do not have exhaust hoses. They use a water reservoir and a cooling pad to add moisture to the air, making it feel cooler. These units work best in dry climates because humid areas cannot absorb much additional moisture.
