I have limited experience with dealing with contractors. Jeff set the bar extremely high. Always shows up when he said he would, extremely polite and knowledgeable. My wife and I were remodeling the basement and Jeff worked with our budget and was a perfectionist when it came to the small details. We even had an issue with leaking that caused Jeff to take down some drywall that he had already completed. He was understanding and still stood with his price he quoted up front. A true professional at his craft and I would highly recommend Jeff to anyone who needs some help. Thank you Jeff.

Excellent. Jeff was very professional, high quality of work, and reasonably priced. Very detail oriented, we had an open dialogue on all aspects of the project as it went along. I knew exactly what I was paying for at all times and the quality of the work was outstanding. He also has a very good design aesthetic and the work was customized to my personal sense of style and taste. Honest and reliable, no problem giving him access to my home if I couldn't be there. We had a good experience with Jeff remodeling our master bathroom. We increased the size of our current shower with removing a wall and replacing the tub. Essentially everything in the bath was redone. We had a few issues - one with tiling and the other with the shower glass install. In both cases, Jeff was able to react and address the concerns. The overall timing of the remodel took a little longer than initially expected, but we are happy with the end result. Jeff has a great customer focused mindset, is very pleasant and easy to work with, and does a quality job. We would definitely consider utilizing his services again for our future home projects.

Jeff was the best, I don't think anyone could have done a better job. If you had seen my old bathroom and what he had to work with, you would call him a miracle worker. It turned out beautiful ! He was easy to communicate with and listened to what my bathroom needs were, then followed through. He also gave me some excellent ideas which helped a great deal. He was always prompt and would be on the job when he said he would be. I never had a problem with dust from any of the demo work or from the installation of the new dry wall.He cleaned up before he left, I didn't have to do a thing. I had a budget and he was willing to work with me on price. Jeff is an excellent contractor and I would highly recommend him. I will be using him again in the near future.

The work was well done. The ceiling joists and duct work were difficult to paint, due to the numerous corners and obstructions. There were a few spots where the paint ran, but overall a good job. The pricing was fair and reasonable. The work was done on schedule and in the estimated time. Overall I was quite happy with the results.

The description of the work performed doesn't even begin to describe the professionalism and exact attention to detail of Jeff's work. Jeff Kraft is so reliable and trustworthy that we were even able to leave on vacation while Jeff completed the work. He always showed up when he said he would, and his pricing was more than fair. Jeff will leave you with a house you can be proud of. This is the second time we have engaged his services, and will always be our first call for any future painting or remodeling needs. Previously, Jeff remodeled a garage for us, and made it look so good, it seemed as if it should be a part of the house instead of a garage. Jeff always goes the extra mile, and gives more than was expected. He analyzes each job carefully, so there are no surprises once he starts. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Despite being 'overall' fairly happy with our kitchen - I think he needs improvement, and as part of this review I will go through them. 1) Responsiveness. Jeff isn't very tech-savvy! One needs to assume most people ARE, and in this day and age, texting and emails are how people communicate. Jeff gets frustrated quite rapidly if he gets more than a few texts, and will quickly call you. Sometimes I wasn't available to answer the phone, but I can 'glance' at my texts and get the same information so texting is ideal. Sometimes emails would go 'days' without an answer, or he will answer emails in another fashion. For example he will read your emails, and then call you the next day. This is not ideal. (and can become annoying) 2) Cleanliness. Jeff isn't the cleanest contractor. (ok - he's flat out a PIG) We had brand new (and expensive) carpet put in our finished basement, and two stairs off of the landing. The first day of 'demo' the two stairs were totally trashed.. Dirt, oils, and random construction debris/chemicals. By the time the kitchen was done the stairs going to the basement were also hopelessly soiled. I had to pay or a carpet buy to come out just to clean the stairs, and Jeff didn't offer to pay the cleanup expenses - and sadly - the stairs weren't returned to their former glory - they were cleaner, but not new like before. I should really have deducted $250 from the final payment to cover carpet replacement on the stairs... Also they blew out my HEPA filter on the home with all of the debris/dust during the work - that cost me another $125.00 to replace. 3) Professionalism. I know it's tough dealing with contractors, they aren't bastions of personality. Jeff is a pretty decent guy, but 'abrupt' at times. We've had some terrible contractors in the past, and Jeff is FAR better than most of them. But realize you are still dealing with fairly uncouth individuals with few social graces. Don't expect much in the way of pleasantries or please and thankyou.. ****My biggest issue is how he 'sneaked' the $100.00 charge in at the end, and didn't have the itemized bill ready but wanted payment prior to providing us with the bill.. After I paid he mailed a bill with a random $100 charge on it that we weren't expecting. I should have been the one to send him a bill for the carpet cleaning and HEPA replacement! We're happy with the kitchen but disappointed in the extra $100 charge, and the amount of filth left over in the home that cost us money in the end. I'd be a bit hesitant to recommend him unless someone was well prepared to deal with the 3 issues I address above. So overall an 'OK' lower to mid level quality job.. I admit we didn't want to spend a ton on a kitchen and to be honest that's what we got - a low to mid level kitchen job. Jeff has a decent attention to detail and does a good 'less expensive' kitchen but if you want seriously fine craftsmanship this ain't your guy. His electricians are decent personally but couldn't mount my sockets the right height and it's causing us headaches now. I'd probably recommend him with all of those caveats well understood in advance!

I had a great experience working with Gecko Co. and Jeff Kraft. I had a relatively small job -- drywall repair in my garage ceiling. Jeff did a great job at a very fair price. He was able to fit me in the schedule very quickly. I will be going back to Gecko again for future drywall and carpentry projects!

we are more then happy with Jeff... He was on time...had suggestions when we had doubts, would call and let us know when he would be here...we had him do some extra things and he was very reasonable about cost. We recommended him to friends who are more then happy with his work.. This is the first time we had major work done in our home,,,and we had a very pleasant experience...would recommend Jeff .

Everything went beyond our expectations.

Jeff Kraft, owner of Gecko Co. was very prompt in providing an estimate and description of the work to be done. He was able to work within the scheduling constraints we gave him. He began the project as promised and was on the job on time each day. Cleaned up the work area before leaving each day. The older drywall on the ceiling of the garage had not been properly installed by the original contractor and required a lot of reattachment and retape work. Jeff also advised us on what type of primer to use and paint selection. Job cost came in at exact bid. After we primed and painted one coat, one area of repair showed some bubbling and tape lifting. Called Jeff, he responded promptly and returned to rework the repair. Second repair is invisible now under primer and two coats of paint. We are very pleased with the finished project and would recommend Jeff to others.

Everything was done professionally and the whole place looks and feels brand new. I will be using him again with future projects. Very easy to work with and takes the extra step when needed to complete the project.

Jeff was very responsive with the visit to my home and the quote submission, while remaining competitive on price. I chose to go with him given his willingness to work with my concept and design and remaining positive about the changes I ultimately requested. He also made suggestions (including a pass through from my dining room to my family room) that I couldn't be happier with. Everyone who has seen the renovation, and final results has had nothing but positive things to say. He originally moved up my start up by almost 2 weeks, which ultimately was delayed a few days, but still earlier than the original target date. Jeff started on time every day and followed through with each of the phases of the renovation as anticipated. The job was to take 2 weeks, and was concluded one day ahead of schedule. He was not only personable, but also kind and gentle with my elderly dog, which of course is always appreciated. While taking down walls and dry wall is a messy job (it always is), I found the team to be very neat. At the conclusion of each day, the areas were tidied, and tools put away and organized as much as possible to allow for as normal and safe traffic flow until their return the following day. Prior to construction completion, all items that were not able to be secured were cleaned off such that it required the minimum amount necessary for me to put the pieces back together. I highly recommend Gecko for quality, efficient and affordable construction with great customer service.

Jeff kept his scheduled date and started work on time. Highly professional in assessing our wants. Actual billing came in under the quoted estimates. Jeff was accommodating and easy to work with. Tile work, painting look very good. The transitions between tub and tile look well done. There have been no plumbing leaks or electrical problems and everything "works". One area that needed some creativity was relocating the heat vent higher off of the floor. This was a problem with the old bathroom where water would run down the bottom louvers. The ducting to the vent was completely reworked, the closet floor relocated and the door was modified to fit. It looks great and I am completely satisfied on how it turned out. Jeff and his contractors cleaned up after themselves well. They even put plastic on the carpeted stairway and landing to protect them. A side job to the bathroom remodeling was the repainting of the family room ceiling. This also turned out nice. Both jobs were completed with a minimum of disruption, especially considering that the old bathroom was completely gutted.

Jeff came out on time and was very helpful in discussing or remodel of the master bath. He had alot of ideas that made sense. Quote was a little high but not final.

In addition to Angie's list, we talked to another customer who recommended Gecko painting company to us. Here is where I would like to advise people to look at the entire list of service providers before making a selection. There are excellent providers located throughout the listings. I called, left a brief message listing the kind of work I wanted to have done, and waited for a response. Jeff returned my call, set up a meeting time and showed up on time. He listened, made suggestions, and wrote up an estimate of the total costs. Jeff told us to make up a component list of materials: paint colors, fixtures, faucet and vanity etc. Jeff took our list and picked up and delivered all of the items to our home which helped to minimize confusion and to maintain an accurate record of the actual cost of everything we needed for the job. On day one of the project he showed up on time, covered our wood floors with plastic to protect the finish, and started the removal of the old stuff. Good housekeeping was practiced from beginning to end, they cleaned up every day, and were relatively quiet. The job was completed ahead of schedule and below cost. How did it go? Outstandingly well! The end result looks sensational. My daughter-in-law approves and will be using Gecko painting in her home as well. My wife and I are planning future projects and we will definitely call on Gecko painting again.
