I originally hired them to install a gas line to my masonry fireplace and during the process Scott Kern, the owner, noticed that my boiler sounded like it was percolating which is usually caused by mineral deposits on the heat exchanger. I cleaned it with a soft brush and 2 days later noticed a leak. I called Scott the day before Thanksgiving with no heat or hot water (the boiler heats an indirect water heater) and he quickly generated a very competitive quote for a new, high efficiency boiler which they promptly installed the Friday after Thanksgiving. You can buy something slightly more powerful, but don’t overshoot the BTU for a small room, or you’ll waste energy and have higher bills.

You should know the main components of an air conditioner: the condenser coils, evaporator coils, drip pan, AC filter, ducts, and refrigerant. Each part plays a key role in the performance and safety of your AC system. When tracking the source of AC issues or odors, it helps to know where to look. Your outdoor unit houses your condenser coils, fan, and compressor. Your indoor unit houses your evaporator coils, drain lines, and filter, and it connects to your ductwork.
