I contacted Mr Handyman from Angie's List around June 25th 2024. Mr Handy sent me a quote on June 26th for $3360 for 2men and 2days to complete the job of building a sunroom at my home. I excepted and scheduled a appointment for work to be done on July the 1st. Mr. Handyman called me on June the 28th to reschedule for July the 2 2024. They showed up on the 2nd worked 5 hours and come again on July 3 2024 worked for 8 hours. Job was still not completed. I called the company on July 8 2024 to find out about completed the job, I was told that someone would be out on July 10 2024 no one showed. I called the company around 9am on the 10th I was told that someone would be out to complete the job on July 11 2024. No one showed or called on July 11 2024. I called the company on July 12 2024 I spoke with the Owner and he said he would have someone out on July 15 2024 between 8-10am. The contractor came out on July 15 2024 worked 3 hours and told me that nothing could be done about the leak in the roof or the stripped door handle and missing screws. I called back to the company talked to the owner I offered to send photos of the job he refused to accepted. I have not talk to or received any call about rectifying to problem. I would like a refund of $1491 to hire another contractor. I do not trust this company to do the job correctly.

Great. The roof was high up, but the Handyman worked at it until he could get his ladder to reach up high enough to re-attache the downspout.

so, the first day of the job we get a call that the tech called in sick, told them i was reluctant to hire on line and was unhappy about that. a few minutes later another call saying that someone else was on the way, he had no idea what he was here for and was not prepared for the job. powerwashing, and no power washer?? after 2 hours he finally got to work. acutally did a good job. got 99% done, it started to storm, not his fault. was told i could request him return, did that, he is booked on another job. so, someone else came the next day. again unprepared with the right tools, have to go to the store. why do they not have the tools on their fancy looking trucks? after 3 trips to the store. asking for tools, took 1 hour to replace 1 plank, things got worrysome on the cost from my husband, that was embarrising to me. but he shut it down. have not heard a word from them since tues. i do not have a problem paying the bill that i owe, i have it documented hour by hour, i was told since the 1st guy wasn't prepared with the power washer that they would take the service charge off and $5.00 off the hourly price., i hope they stand up to that.

I was extremely satisfied with the quickness and quality of work performed. The repairman was very friendly, down to earth, and well skilled.

Handyman was very professional and attentive to my requests and needs, I had a long list of things that needed repair or installation and we got through everything except a couple of things that needed additional hardware which I will purchase using the information he provided. I can not speak more highly oh him.

Overall, Tom was personable, professional, and he got the job done fairly easily. I trusted his judgment in what kind of mounting hardware to use into the wall -- which was probably the one issue I had with how things went. Mr Handyman only provides their labor; the customer needs to provide ALL materials, which initially was challenging because the guy that I spoke to on the phone said that I had to wait until their guy arrived to even know what parts to get! He said the handyman would tell me what to get, and I'd need to go to the store -- while the guy is at my house -- and get the mounting hardware! (As a side note ... who would leave their house with someone they don't know inside it?). But then when I protested on the phone, he suggested I go to Home Depot and ask them, and get what they suggested (which made me wonder ... I'm hiring them for THEIR knowledge, right??). So my solution, which was the least painful in my mind, was to go to the hardware store and buy multiple different mounting options, and have them available for their guy to choose from (after which, I'll take the ones he didn't use back to the store). The only other point was the price, which, to explain ... Mr Handyman is a bit on the high side, because they charge for a full hour in addition to their service fee, even though Tom was only actually working at my house for about 30-40mins.

the handyman was very professional and did a nice job. I would only use mr handyman again if I could not find an independent professional to do the job. their prices are too high.

I sent message through Angie's list but I never heard back from anybody. I don't want to give an F because maybe the message didn't get to them.

It did not go well. I purchased the wood. The wood was cut up and destroyed. The old wood was not removed from my house soffit. It was a four foot area which needed to be replaced. I’m not sure what was done but my wood was cut up wrong. That was a Big sign that it wasn’t done right. When I saw the soffit with the wood pieces patched up on my house. There is insulation foam coming from the soffit and chauk or glue holding the wood up to the house. I could not believe it. I called to request that someone comes out to repair the job correctly. I never received no response. The garage door jamb was cut out and left. And has nothing to hold it shut. It doesn’t look as though it was cut with a saw. I paid $91. Hourly. Not a professional job. I’m very sad and disappointed in the work done to my home. I hand my husband stop the check. Please see pictures below.

Person who came to our house was very professional, was good with my toddlers watching (even trying to help) him, was here for the day.

He was here about 8 hours. You have a central office that then sends the various handyman out, they have various people that go out and do they work for them, but the office and the guy had to go out to eat. He called not only the day before the service to remind me, then he called the day of the service to see how it was going, and then the day after to see if everything was to my satisfaction. They have a nice central office.

Professional on the phone. In person, was not knowledgeable or prepared for the task at hand. Paid too much for the work completed.

He was here for a full day.

Scheduling the work was real easy and the guys (two man job) worked non stop from arrival to finish.
