"I would definitely hire BellaCraft again for all remodeling services. The owner, Jim, was great to work with. He was hands-on with the renovation. He takes pride in his work and it shows in the quality of his workmanship. The renovation involved tearing out the kitchen to the studs. The project was smooth and all the work was completed in a timely fashion. I love my new kitchen. His prices are very fair. If you're looking to hire someone to remodel anything, hire BellaCraft."

"I had Dana come out to reglaze my bathtub and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Right from the start, he was super friendly and took the time to make sure my dogs were comfortable with him before he got to work, which I really appreciated. He definitely knows his stuff and was very informative throughout the process. He worked quickly but was still very thorough. The tub looks brand new and the finish is beautiful. It’s hard to find someone who is both efficient, knowledgeable, and actually kind to have in your home. I’d highly recommend him to anyone!"

"We have had 2 of our bathrooms remodeled by Five Star Bath Solutions and we also recommended them to our neighbor who also had her bathroom remodeled as well. We both had wonderful experiences with the process. They were on time, professional, and cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommend Five Star Bath Solutions."

"Larry and Dan D. were very professional. Job was done right. We had master bath remodeled. It looks great! Minor complaint would be the amount of time it took for the project to be started... 5 months from sign up to beginning of install. So, plan accordingly."

"Derrick and his team are the best we have hired. They remodeled both our Master bath and the kids bathroom. Communication was great: calls and emails were returned in a timely fashion and contractors showed up to work when the said they would. Delays were minimal and if there was one it was because of things outside of Trademark's control. Derrick and Rob were great with ideas for layout and materials when we had questions. There were constant updates on the progress and Derrick himself checked in on the job frequency to make sure we were happy and that it was going smoothly. The pricing is fair and the work is outstanding. Would hire again and we plan on them remodeling our kitchen soon!"

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel questions, answered by experts

Most codes require 15 inches on either side of the toilet's centerline (from the wall or vanity) and at least 21 to 24 inches between the toilet and the wall in front of it. These codes ensure that your toilet is easy to use and access, even in small bathrooms. Check your local building codes for the exact measurements required.

Adding another bathroom isn’t the most complicated project you can undertake, but it’s in the top 5%. Anything involving plumbing and electrical work should be handed off to a pro, and adding a half bath involves both. A contractor may charge $70 to $120 an hour for labor, but chances are they can work much faster and more accurately than a DIYer.

Yes, you can tile over existing tiles in a bathroom, but it is not always recommended. For this method to be successful, the original tile surface must be clean, flat, and free of damage such as cracks, unevenness, mold, or mildew. While tiling over existing tiles can save time and money, there are potential drawbacks. The new adhesive may not bond properly, and the process adds extra weight to the wall or floor. Additionally, the increased height of the surface could interfere with door clearances. For the best and most durable results, removing the old tiles before installing new ones is generally the better option.

The most expensive part of adding a bathroom will always be the wet areas, such as the toilet, sink, and shower. Considering a half bathroom won’t have a shower, you’ll save quite a bit of money there versus adding a full bath with a shower or tub. Using qualified professionals is a requirement when dealing with plumbing and electricity, so while you can do some of the addition yourself, leave these two to the pros.

Typically, a wet room costs more than a walk-in shower. Installing a walk-in shower costs an average of $6,700, but this price can go up for a customized shower with high-end materials. By comparison, the average price for building a wet room is $9,000, with the low end of this project hovering around $2,000 and going up to around $30,000 on the high end. Because a wet room often includes renovating the whole space, you’ll spend more on this project.
