"This is one of the most unprofessional companies I have dealt with. In June of 2021 GLP&H installed a faucet for me. That $200 faucet worked for 5 months before it broke. When I called to have it fixed in January of 2022, our plumber (Eldon) came out and explained they installed an old faucet in error. The old faucet was placed in a new faucet box which is usually sent out, however in my situation it was unintentionally installed. When Eldon took the faucet apart you could see it was an old faucet and he apologized and installed new one. Fast forward 8 months to August 2022. The new faucet has snapped. The company gives you a year warranty on the products they install. I called asking for a replacement since it's only been 8 months. I was advised the warranty had expired. How is that possible I just had it installed. Well ma'am when we installed the old one, your warranty started then so the new one we installed only had a 6 month warranty. I am sorry that is not how warranties work. I have been more then patient, especially after your people ADMITTED to installing the incorrect faucet, and now you are telling me you won't fix it because the warranty is expired. Absolutely not. When I called to talk to the manager, he was less then friendly and unwilling to make it right. I advised you I would purchase my own faucet and have your company install it you stated that wouldn't work for you. For a business that prides itself in being a family company you sure don't help your customers. I will await a response and a date when you can come install my new faucet."

Instead, he had somebody drop off 2 beat up nasty spray paint cans for us as a customer to fix ourselves.. Don’t think so after your company got paid to do a job and failed. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY."

Danny offered me several options for each repair taking into account upcoming remodels, he was ver personable and interested in puzzling out some of the problems I had been noticing. I felt completely comfortable leaving him to finish the job and lock up behind himself."

The main difference between water softeners and water filters is that softeners remove hard minerals from the water, while filters have more of a blanket effect, removing all contaminants above a certain size. Filters are also much less expensive to install and protect against bacteria and other impurities. Depending on your water supply, you may need both.

Yes. To get soft water, you can install a water softening system, which will replace the calcium and magnesium ions in the water with sodium or potassium ions. Water softeners cost anywhere from $200 to $6,000, depending on the size and complexity of the system. You can either install a water softener for the whole house or just at your shower heads. It’s not a good idea to oversize your water softener. Doing so will mean the tank doesn’t get full, which can lead to channeling. Over time, this will reduce the efficiency of your system, not to mention that the upfront cost of an oversized softener is unnecessarily high. If you have a timed regeneration cycle rather than a demand-based one, you’ll also spend far more on replacing salt than you need to.

The license requirements for water softener installation depend on your location. Some municipalities require that the installer hold a plumbing license, some require a permit and an inspection, but no license for the installer, and some require a permit and a license for the installer. Regardless of the local laws in your area, it’s always a good idea to hire a licensed plumber or installer.
