Southern Michigan Pool Pros

I sought an estimate to replace an awful cartridge filter (for a 22,000-gallon inground pool!!) with a DE filter, which I know is much more efficient, having had an inground pool and DE filter in the past. SMPPros did not install the pool or the cartridge filter. At the time I assumed a DE filter was going to be installed but was not. These terrible cartridge filters work for small Intex pools because you can throw them away but, in my opinion, no way for an inground pool. I received several estimates, and Dale Traister's was very reasonable. I scheduled for the install, chose my DE filter from SMPool Pros (they had it in stock--professional business), and Duane promptly came out and installed it. He also had to replumb because it was quite large and needed to be fit into the existing plumbing. It was quite a job. Duane did an excellent job. We absolutely love this DE filter; the pool has been spotless all summer even in 95-degree heat. We also have a heater so the pool is quite warm. We have not even had to backwash it once because no algae! He will be opening and closing my pool in the future. I am so happy with this filter; do not hesitate to use Southern Michigan Pool Pros. Very professional and conscientious. The previous filter did not keep my pool clean; it was always green and full of chemicals which did not work. The new DE filter cleaned up the pool within a day, and it has been amazing all summer long with only minimal chlorine tabs. Thank you, Duane!!

Dale came to my home and showed me the many different options for a new pool. He was one of 3 providers that I interviewed. I knew 10 minutes into the meeting this was the guy I wanted to install my pool. He and his entire staff are AMAZING. They were on time. (I actually had water in my new pool in 3 or 4 days after they stated digging.) They have been so helpful with me getting to understand how to use my pool and maintain the pool. They closed my pool and opened it again this spring. Everything about this company is 100 % professional and PERFECT.
I am so happy with my experience. I encourage anyone interested in a new pool or even care of an existing pool to give this company a try. You will NOT be disappointed.

I called Southern Michigan Pool and asked them to give me an estimate for a replacement pool liner. They arrived on schedule and on time to look at pool and give me an estimate. They measured all angles and depth of pool for a perfect new liner fit. They recomended Regional Concrete to repair the sidewalk around pool. They too did an excellent job on repairs. When concrete was completed Dale, Tim and their crew arrived as scheduled. They removed old liner. Cleaned and repaired spots in pool before putting in new liner. I was asked to call when the water level reached certain areas which I did. They always arrived promptly to check on progress and do whatever they needed to do at that point. They were very professional from start to finish. They answered any questions we had and were very courteous and friendly. Pool looks beautiful. I would absolutely recommend Dale and Tim to anyone needing a pool or pool service. I am going to have them close my pool in the fall. I have definately found my pool company in Southern Michigan Pool. Very trustworthy.
