everything went as stated for the first room. Kristen was on time ...very professional and very neat. Job commpleted in one day...very satisified. Ready to finish project and move to living room. We have cleared the room and picked the paint and have spoken to Scott and he is going to try to get us Kristen again because we liked her very much. If not possible, I think we will be satisfied with the painter they provide because they seem to be a quality company all the way

After messaging via Angie's list, Scott, one of the owners messaged back. We were able to meet one week later for an estimate. He was on time. He was very thorough, prepared, polite and professional. He emailed me back a proposal within 3 days and we were able to start the work within 5 days. We were not in a hurry but the season allows for them to do smaller indoor jobs sooner than later. The painters arrived as scheduled and worked diligently and non-obtrusively while we were home (short periods). I was home ill day 2 and they were quiet. At the end of the day, things were picked up and out of the way. The quality of the work was excellent and we are very pleased with the end result. The total time was 4 days. We bought our own paint and based on recommendations, we purchased more paint then necessary. We understand that they didn't want to run out and wanted to make sure that colors matched should we have run out but I am disappointed that we now have 2 gallons of unopened paint. We might have the exterior of the house painted in the fall and will definitely plan to ask for an estimate from Clarke Painting with a preference towards them

I love working with Elissa. She made quite a few window treatments for me in 1999 when I first moved into my Victorian Home and I loved her work then which is why I called her back. The window treatments she made then still look like new. Quite a few of them are insulated too which really helps keep the house warmer or cooler depending on the season. She really listens to what you want and gives great advice. She made the window treatments then showed up and installed them for me. They fit perfectly. If I could I would add pics but I don't think that's an option. I really love them

She found the contractors to meet our deadline which was a pretty tight dead line and she got them all there on time and she really supervised their work very closely. I know that if I had just hired a regular shower design company to put this in the same care would not have been given to this and most likely it would not have functioned in that handicapped sense that we really badly needed. She thought of a lot of things that the plumber on the job did not think of, the carpenter on the job did not think of while she was really careful about all those items. She really knows handicap design very well

Donna is a certified master kitchen and bathroom designer which is why we picked her. We needed her expertise in keeping our home looking authentic. She is knowledgeable in the style of our particular home and we found her to be very useful.

Can I give her an A+? Victoria has not completed the painting job yet, but I wanted to write a review of her PROFESSIONALISM so far. I will review the work once it is completed. Over the last six months, I've met a lot of contractors through Angie's List and have found all of them are not of the same caliber. I've even been taken advantage of by a handyman I had a "feeling" about. In the future, I will go with my gut. Everything I've experienced from Victoria is TOP NOTCH. She was PROFESSIONAL and KIND. She drove an hour to give me an estimate on painting several rooms knowing I didn't know how much work I was going to ask her to complete right now. We walked through my house and talked about what I wanted to have done. She took notes and gave me some GREAT IDEAS about each room. She told me about the process in which the different jobs would take. I had a leaky roof this last winter, and she explained how it would need to be repaired and painted so the stain won't bleed through. I love learning new things, and Victoria SHARED HER KNOWLEDGE with me. Victoria and I chatted throughout her visit, and she made me feel like more than just a client. She's quite personable and funny too. I could tell why her business is called "Peace Lady." Her personality is WARM AND CARING, someone I would welcome into my home. Sometimes I get nervous about having contractors in the house, so I keep my dogs close by because these people are virtual strangers, but I felt COMPLETELY COMFORTABLE with Victoria. When I told Victoria my husband passed away less than a year ago, she offered me a SINGLE MOM DISCOUNT. She didn't need to do that, but she decided since she offers a DISCOUNT TO SENIORS, she wanted to extend it to single moms too. She really CARES about her customers. When Victoria and I were talking about the estimate, I let her know I wasn't sure how much I'd be able to afford to have done all at once, so I asked her if she could split the estimate in two (I'm looking to have nine rooms painted). She divided up the work so each half was roughly the same price. I knew it would be pricey and that I might not be able to have four rooms painted at once, but Victoria worked with me on this. She sent me breakdowns of each room and the individual costs of different sections of each room, so I could understand her PRICING PROCESS. It ended up that she is only going to paint one room, the most complex room, right now and then come back a few times to complete the work. In a few weeks Victoria is driving and hour to paint my bedroom, and I am VERY MUCH LOOKING FORWARD to having her complete the work. I know she's going to do a GREAT JOB

  • Creative Visions Interior Design
Leslie Hayden, Owner of Creative Visions Interior Design, was extrenely easy to work with and made the process of making critical decisions much less stressful. She is not afraid to give you her honest opinion, which is refreshing as it surely saved a ton of time and helped to get us both on the same page very quickly. She made herself available to meet with me even when it was inconvenient for her (for example the time she drove to Portland from a job 45 minutes away, just to give me paint samples to review, so my painter could start a day ealier. She then returned to that job site). She is extremely professional, knowledgeable and conscientious. In the end, I could not have gotten through the renovation without her and her expertise provided me with a home that is simply stunning. The name of her company says it all - Creative Visions Interior Design - She does have vision and knows how to bring those visions to fruition. I wish Leslie all the best, and highly recommend her to do your next job, no matter how big or small

  • Budget Blinds of Portland
Totally satisfied. The sales consultant comes to your house and listens to what you are looking for. In all cases, she came up with the right solution, not trying to unnecessarily upsell. I'm the one who brought up mechanized shades for 2 high windows (I wish I had done one more). The staff is all wonderful to deal with. The installer is amazing - really knows what he is doing and makes it look easy. Everything fits perfectly. You do need to be proactive to call the week the order is supposed to be ready - they are quite busy. Note: this review pertains to the Portland Maine location - I understand that Budget Blinds is a franchise and I have not tried other locations -yet
