"I must admit, I had Unicorp replace all of the windows in our home with new vinyl energy efficient windows 10 or more years ago. Their installers were excellent. The quality of their windows were excellent. The proof in the pudding is that after 8 years not one of my windows has an air leak. Not one has leaked water. Not one window has had the vinyl or track break. In short, nothing has happened. Now that's a quality window! We also purchased a custom sliding glass door (in the kitchen to the deck) from Unicorp that to this day I believe is the best door in my entire home. That door is opened and closed constantly to let the cats in and out. If you own cats, you will understand how often that door is opened and closed on a daily basis. We have not had a single hiccup ever with that door. And in the winter, I sit right behind the door and no matter how cold or windy it is, I never feel a thing at the kitchen table. Because Unicorp did such a great job in replacing the windows in our home, my wife insisted that we use Unicorp to replace the roof last week. "This is the 3rd time I have used this company. As usual we have been very pleased with the quality of the work. Nicole is very responsive when I call her for a service appointment. This time Jonathan came to do the work. I had a bathroom mirror where the screws holding the mirror has gone into the drywall with the anchors. It was very unsteady on the wall so I asked if it needed to be replaced. Jonathan said that he could move the mirror slightly and put the screws and anchors in new holes and at the same time mend the existing holes that are not being used. He did a great job with the mirror and the old holes in the wall. The bottom of the wooden frame on my patio door has rotted over the years and it needed to be replaced. Since I have no idea what to buy to do all the jobs, as before the tech went to my local Home Depot to make the purchases. He came back with water-treated slab of wood for the bottom frame. He said it would take about 2-3 hours for him to take the door out and to make the replacement piece. It sure did take that long and more. I was very impressed with Jonathan, he managed to take a slab of wood, make it into a U-shape frame on the top and make holes on the bottom for the sliding door wheels. Unfortunately, he had a little mishap with the door. When he tried to unscrew the two bolts on each side, one of the bolts would not come out, I guess it was stripped so Jonathan tried to cut the bolt with his saw which he did, but not before he accidentally nicked the double pane tempered glass on the door. The entire outer glass pane has cracked but not shattered into pieces. Jonathan had to order a new double pane tempered glass for my door which would take 7-10 days and then come back to install it. Of course I was not going to be charged for the new glass or for the installation. Jonathan and James came back 2 weeks later and installed the new glass. The bottom frame looked good after Jonathan put a coat of primer on it. I will have to call them back in the Spring to paint the entire door among other paint job that I may have for them by then. The pull down light was installed and a new extension cord was replaced on the workbench light fixture. Good thing I purchase the Angie's List deal online before hand and saved a little bit of money there. Overall, I am still very happy with the job. The price is a bit more than I anticipated because of the work involved in making the wooden piece and of course Jonathan was on the clock too when he went shopping at Home Depot. The entire staff were very professional, friendly and professional which I really appreciated. I have called other handyman company before I settled on this company. The other company wanted me to supply the material. What the heck do I know of what to buy so that is why I did not use them. It is more expensive for them to go and get the stuff they need but worth the hassle and time of me getting the wrong stuff and had to take them back and maybe still get the wrong stuff again, so better for the tech to go."

"Mr. Leal was prompt with his callback after my initial outreach and worked with my schedule to find a good time for meeting to assess the issues in my house. He provided an estimate which turned out to be very accurate.
He did arrive a little late on the day that he was meant to come, but only by 30 minutes. When he started work, he made very sure that my kitchen and floors were protected. He was very careful with the dishes and glasses in my kitchen and was careful with the microwave after removing it. He and his assistant worked efficiently - they were finished with the dishwasher without me even noticing! 
Towards the end of the first day of work, Mr. Leal realized that the issue with my bathroom sink wasn't a mere leak but a problem with the faucet itself. He offered, at no charge in parts and labor, to replace the faucet, which he did the next day. The cabinet and attached microwave, it turns out, was never secured to a stud and was almost inevitably going to fall. Mr. Leal showed me all the places where he'd secured the cabinet to the wall and neighboring cabinetry - the job itself was done neatly.

"The work was completed on time and on budget but enough problems arose that I doubt if I'd use JW again. I should have known better when the estimator, on his first and only visit to my house, put pressure on me to accept their estimate on-the-spot. That was a huge red flag but I was in a hurry and the quoted price wasn't crazy, so I signed. But be warned: JW's estimators will pressure you. Things ran smoothly once I was handed off to a project manager. Bob was both professional and punctual. He came out and measured the existing front door so that we could order the new custom door to fit the existing space. I also purchased a new storm door and had it on-site ready to install as well. The installers arrived promptly and were both friendly and efficient. By the end of the day, however, some issues became apparent. First, moulding that surrounds the door frame at the top was a good 1" higher than it had been. This was obvious because the moulding continues horizontally for the length of the wall. It had been level, now the door section was much higher than the rest. Also, the gap between the door and the wall varied vertically from top to bottom. Seemed like something wasn't level there, too. As a result, the door lock just barely made the reach from the door knob to the wall lock plate. Even a slight turn and the door would pop open. The lock plate itself looks to have needed several attempts to alight correctly, leaving unsightly cuts in the wood around it. The storm door was installed properly but they appear to have incorrectly installed the removable glass section. I discovered unused retaining strips in the materials instead of on the door. I brought these issues to Bob's attention and he scheduled the same installers to come out and affix repairs. Unfortunately, the didn't bother to coordinate schedules with me and instead just showed up at my door one morning by surprise. Rather than send them away, I took a few hours off work so that they could get to work then and there. They did resolve the gap issue but at the cost of even more unsightly cuts in the wood. They were, however, unable or unwilling to address the curious height issue that left me with uneven moulding. Overall, the work was completed but the quality wasn't the best and the communication from the installers was zero. This saddens me because they were quite friendly. I just wish they'd done better work. Granted, perhaps my expectations were too high but I assumed that the final product would be showroom-level. Not so much."
