"Wow, Just Wow! From the salesperson Doug, The coordinator Megan and they saved the best for last the install crew lead by Pawel K. My windows in my house had all turned to fog and I have a highway behind my house which you could hear every car that passed by. I invited 4 different window and door companies to my house and by far Doug was one of the most professional and helpful of the window companies. We discuss sound issues and he recommended Laminate Glass, we also went through details of the insulation, doors etc. after talking to all 4 companies I sent them all each other quotes and Doug really wanted our business and came back with the best price and warranty. I never felt pressured to work with Unicorp but they kept me informed of what deals they had for my situation. Thank you, Doug, for being Fantastic! Once the sale was complete, within 48 hours I was contacted by Pawel who was the lead for installing the windows. I provided him with times I could be home and he drove in late to measure all my windows, which I really appreciated. During the measuring, he explained the install process and the details of how they would seal and wrap the windows. Later that week I was contacted by Megan who kept me informed of what stage the windows and doors were in and how long it would be for the completion. She was also very flexible in determining dates that I could take off work and be there for the install. The best part was the install. a 2 and 1/2 day process. Pawel and his crew were fantastic. I can't tell you how professional they were in keeping my house clean, trying to keep the house warm in the winter and they really seemed to pay a lot of attention to detail. Anytime I had a question they would go out of their way to explain what they were doing and how. Its rare I am able to trust people so quickly but they are soo professional and really took pride in their work. It really showed that they cared. When I decide to replace my siding I will 100% hire Unicorp again and I will highly recommend them to all my friends. Thank you for your professionalism and hard work!!! If I could give 10 stars I would. I wish I had some before and after pictures. Amazing job, my house looks 100 times better."

"This is the second time that we hired Zen Windows for a project, and we could not be more pleased with the service, professionalism and the results on both occasions. They are very responsive, helped us identify the right products and made the entire process as stress-free as possible. Replacing windows and doors is a big project, and having a company you can trust will do it right makes all the difference. Scott and his team are great to work with!"

Paul (the owner) was great. The inner side of the two panes of glass in my sliding glass door randomly shattered but was still in place (hadn't fallen out) -- after looking through Angie's list I decided to call him for an estimate. I think he said he could come by the next day -- but then 20 minutes later he called me back and said due to the situation that the glass could fall out at any time, he felt he should come by that day to look at it and give an estimate. And he did -- with duct tape in hand to see if he could help prevent it from falling down. He explained that a replacement door was unfortunately going to cost significantly more because the door was 8 ft wide and required Columbia's brown color on the outside.  He gave me the quote, some information on the product he uses, and his card and told me to call when I was ready.

I got two additional quotes before calling Paul back. One was by a guy who kept pushing me to sign the contract that night in order to get this great deal that I could only get by signing right then.

It took awhile to actually get the door from the manufacturer because I waited too long to call and tell him to order it -- the had manufacturer closed down for the holidays.  But when it came in, Paul called and we schedule the installation.  Two of his guys were actually early, got everything started and finished the installation with no issues.  Paul called me while they were there and came by when he was able to later that day to check the work and make sure I was satisfied.  He called me again a week or so later to check up and see if I had any questions or problems.

Issues:

The wait to get the door and have it installed was rather long (especially since the glass could fall at any time) but that was just due to poor timing and the time it took me to decide.  The only other issue was that a few weeks later when it was finally warm enough with no snow to go out and really look at it, I found pieces of broken glass on the ground outside -- I didn't watch them take out the broken door but it seemed like they tried to contain most of the pieces from when the shattered pane of glass came out.  However, there were still pieces, both big and small, that I'm having to pick up or do something about in the grass right outside the door.  It's annoying but not such a big deal to me.

Overall:

Going with Innovative Home Improvement (Paul Harrison) did cost more than the others -- possibly significantly more but I also got a high quality product.  And I'm not sure if the other quotes included EVERYTHING or if there would have been additional things like instillation added on (unlike Paul's quote).  I really liked that it's a small company and Paul does great customer service with no pressure sales.  He's the one you talk to, he's the one that came for the estimate and he's the one who came by to make sure the installation went well.  He's easy to get a hold of and calls a week or so after the work is finished to check up and answer any questions.  I think that's rare these days.

I later called him for a rough estimate on replacing my other sliding glass door which has really bad drafts... it's on my list of things to get done, but it will have to wait until I can afford it.

"Called and got a response right away. Owner provided guidance over the phone to minimize the water damage. Within two hours Third Generation Cipriano Plumbing Figliozzi Tile had plumbers at my home and were fixing the problem. This company gets it done. Great service, professional and great pricing."

"Clifton Contracting made the whole process so easy from planning to completion. We are thrilled with the window and the complete change in our basement. We chose a larger Anderson window and an upgraded Rockwell window well. No other estimates could match them."

"I was very happy with response from Eddis. He gave me a quote upfront and followed it up with an invoice via email. I paid him half at the beginning and another half when he came back to install the window. He was very professional and respectful of my house. I will definitely use A.R. Glass again if I have window repair needs."

"I had two old sliding glass doors where the wood around the glass was rotting. The needed to be replaced. I went to the Germantown Home Show and got three companies to come out and do an estimate. Presidential was easily the best choice of the three. The doors got ordered and a month or so later they arrived and were installed the next day. The crew from Presidential was professional and courteous. The door installation went quick and they cleaned up like they weren't even there. I am very pleased with my new doors."

"It was a job well done. Glad to choose them for my roof"

"Everything went great. They came out a measured my windows. About 3 weeks later, I had 5 custom windows installed. The installers were on time, very neat and look like they did a good job installing the windows. Around the outside, the windows were capped and afterwards they showed me how to open and clean them. I will be calling them up once I save up for my other windows."
