Awful experience, replaced the siding in a couple sections per their recommendation, had a horrible color match(that I told their salesperson was wrong) and they fully installed the wrong color despite my objections. It was so bad that I now tell everyone that will listen DO NOT USE HOME GENIUS for even the simplest repair.

Hired them to replace all my windows. Salesman was quite nice but this is a hard sell. They sell ProVia windows, which seems to be common in the area. You will get a quote but the best price will only be if you sign on the spot. He was willing to work with me and I got a $3k discount so I would be the price point I was comfortable with. He was nice and the agency had good reviews so I decided to sign. Within a couple weeks I had final measurements taken and they did a lead test. He did not show me the test or any results. Just a piece of paper claiming lead was present. Well guess what that increased the cost by $3k so the discount I received disappeared. The estimated time for the windows to be delivered and installed was on target (7 or 8 weeks). The crew arrived in Window Nation shirts. This was a surprise and if I had wanted to hire WN then I would have just hired them directly. Overall the crew were good. They started later than anticipated so they were here until 7pm but they took care of the floors and cleaned up the debris inside and out. I was told the increased lead charge ($100 per window) was to take extra precautions but there was dust all over the inside surfaces. I did not see any extra protection on the inside of the home. The main windows were measured well. The basement windows had 1.5 inch gap around a couple sides and all they could do was use foam. I asked why the gap was significant but they said it would be okay with the foam. The windows look great and the workmanship was good. They did not clean the windows before they left and the site manager said this should be done. He said he would follow-up and I did not hear back. While I received paid invoices, I have asked for an invoice that actually includes what I paid for and not just the total amount (since it was changed post contract). I have requested this twice as well as paperwork on the windows that were installed (window type, energy star rating, etc) but cannot get a response. I do not recommend them and advise to go with someone that only does windows and has better follow through.

I did not realize I was dealing with a service in the beginning and was very suspicious about the idea until I heard a most pleasant, welcoming voice on my initial call. The salesman.delivered his information in a concise, but detailed, manner; the office manager quickly scheduled our appointment knowing of our severe drainage problems and the project manager who inspected the project twice to assure the installers completed a perfect job, which they certainly did. I can't remember a more delightful experience than with this knowledgeable, professional company with their totally dedicated and responsible employees. 10 Stars!

I can not say enough good things about this talented group and the transformative work they did to my home! I bought a 70 year old home and HGE replaced my roof, gutters, rotted wood paneling and painted the exterior of my home and studio. The house is now a stand out on my block-Vibrant and frankly looks brand new! They were on time, efficient, pleasant and responsible. They made a mistake and fixed it, then pointed out where the wood was rotting and were able to repair it immediately. I was so pleased I asked them to paint the soffits, etc. and I plan to use them again in the spring to repair some other items. I also referred them to several friends. I especially appreciated that the price was reasonable and there was no hard sell. The inspection of the work after it was finished was also very good. Thank you to Jamie, Edgar and Louis & crew.
