"Cornelio and his team were great!  We are really pleased with our new bathroom.  In our case, we had a good idea of what we wanted and ordered all of the appliances, fixtures, etc. on our own.  Cornelio worked with us to make everything fall into place just as we envisioned it.  When unexpected things popped up - leaking ceiling, awkward plumbing and ventilation - he helped solve the problem.  We recommend him and hope to hire him for another job soon!
FYI a few random notes:
- Cornelio manages the job but is not there everyday.  The guys he works with are great, so you're in good hands.  He is also available by phone or email to answer any questions.
- If you are ordering your own supplies, I recommend to do get it all there before the job begins.  We did demo first and then ran into issues with a bathtub that kept arriving damaged.  This delayed the job by a few weeks and left us without a shower.  Not Cornelio's fault at all - just bad luck and planning on our end.

"The quality of work is excellent.  Unfortunately, their boss directed his crew to ignore the obvious tilt of this old house, and we had to insist that the top of the closet doors be parallel to the ceiling!  He also got surly when my husband and I insisted that we both see the end result before paying him.  I hope this guy reverts to the personality we saw a couple of years ago and leaves the current one behind.

"Evi was very responsive to my initial contact, and was able to fit me in within my requested time frame (about 1.5 weeks from our call).  She established text contact and kept in touch before and after the cleaning, which was helpful.  She did seem unclear at one point about the amount she herself had quoted me initially, but that was easily sorted out.  On the day of the cleaning, the two-member crew arrived promptly and got to work right away.  They were friendly, efficient, and careful, and did a great job with the commonly-used areas of the house, going over all surfaces carefully.  They artistically replaced all our personal items when they finished cleaning, and even added really nice little touches like folding the ends of the tissues into decorative fans.  Overall, I was very satisfied with the cleaning.  Of note, I did find a few small out-of-the-way areas that did not get cleaned after they had left.  For example, our guest room has a window with a deep windowsill that is covered by a thick curtain, which had quite an accumulation of cobwebs and dead insects that did not get touched.  However, I want to note that I did not think of looking there myself when they asked me to do an inspection, and I have no doubt they would have immediately taken care of it with the same amount of care as they did the rest of the house if it had been brought up.  Ultimately, I would definitely work with Evi and her team again, and would recommend her to others without reservation.

"I didn't care for them because they came out and it was a total waste of money. First of all they set me up with an appointment and they were a no show. I took time off from work and they didn't show.  So I called and complained to them. When they realized that they had failed they came out later that day in the evening and put up a sealant which, the first rainstorm after that sealant it, rained in my bed, heavily and it caused some damage to the roof and the bedroom ceiling started coming down on me because it was a heavy rainfall. Their work failed. I was not satisfied."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Most ceiling fans have a lifespan of anywhere from five to 15 years or 10 years on average. Just how long your ceiling fan lasts depends on the quality of the parts, how much it’s used, and how well you maintain it. A fan with a weak motor that runs on the medium setting nonstop is likely to have a shorter lifespan compared to a fan with a powerful motor that runs on the slowest setting for air circulation.

If you’re removing a ceiling fan without visible screws, start by locating the fan canopy—a round cover placed above the fan blades and motor. There should be a thin ring that can be turned counterclockwise to remove the canopy and reveal the screws. After unscrewing the fan, you can disconnect the wires and remove the entire fan from the mounting hardware. For safety, make sure the fan switch is turned off before you remove the canopy. It may be easier to remove the fan blades first, too.

To determine if your ceiling box can support a fan, you must check if it is specifically fan-rated. Manufacturers are required to indicate this on the box itself. You may need to remove the existing light fixture to look inside the ceiling box for an inscription stating it is rated for fan use. If you do not see this confirmation, the box is likely not strong enough and must be replaced with a fan-rated junction box. For a proper and safe installation, you should also use a fan brace to secure the new box between the ceiling joists, which provides the necessary support for the fan's weight and motion.

Many ceiling fan-rated electrical boxes tend to be made of metal. However, some electrical boxes may also be made of heavy-duty plastic that is reinforced with metal support structures. It may also have an attachment that connects directly to a ceiling joist. If you are ever ensure, consult with a licensed professional to get their insight on best practices and whether the installation is a safe one.

Ceiling fans can be a great way to cool your home without the expensive utility bill of running an air conditioner. Plus, ceiling fans can sometimes run in both directions, pushing hot air down in winter and pulling cold air up in summer. With that said, air conditioning might be the only thing that helps if you live in a very warm climate.
