- SBC Outdoor ServicesSBC did great hardscape work for our neighbors, so we called them when it was time for us to have some work done. They responded quickly and provided a quote to replace a failing retaining wall and gave us options to rehab 2 patio areas full of rotting boards. As part of the work on the retaining wall, it became evident that our porch was a safety hazard and needed to be replaced. SBC immediately shored up the porch, and Steve worked with us to re-do the designs and reallocate materials to rebuild our porch, rehab the patios and keep the costs reasonable, including going the extra mile to get certified so that we could maintain the warrant on our roof. We now have a wonderful, maintenance-free outdoor space. We have a number of other outside projects, and SBC will be our first call
- Scutro Properties LLCOur project consisted of adding a roof over an existing 12 x 12 deck that was attached to an existing 12x16 covered porch. We had been receiving quotes from various companies (basically from those that would actually call us back) that varied wildly. Some even quoted us as high as 100k because they wanted to tear everything down and start from scratch. Jeff and his company (Scutro Properties) were heaven sent! Jeff and his company built a covered porch for another house in the neighborhood and it looked as if it was built at the same time as when the house was originally built. I didn’t look like an add on. Scutro Properties did an OUTSTANDING job on our addition. Jeff and his crew were extremely professional and they kept us in the loop during the entire permitting and building process. My family and I cannot wait for warmer weather to come so that we can enjoy our new found space. We were so impressed with Scutro Properties that they are the only company that I will use for the other upcoming projects in our backyard. "We got a few estimates in July 2022, and out of all of them we got a great vibe from Marc. He took the time to listen to our preferences for a new deck layout and drew/designed a great option that we all agreed on. We were really excited to work with him and his team.
After some scheduling issues, I got a call from TJ that they were ready to start work mid May 2023. They came with a small crew of four, but came ready to work! They worked quickly and it was fun to see their process. Almost every day, TJ and Marc would give me or my husband an update of their progress and what to expect throughout their time working. "MAD Fence not only gave me the lowest quote out of the 3 I got, but Steve was extremely knowledgeable and kind, and not pushy. He made a solid recommendation to get 3 gates installed rather than 2, and it was really worth it. He also later gave me some guidance on watersealing. There was a minor issue where the gate was too low and rubbing up the grass and making it difficult to open (I assume due to ground settling). They came out and resolve the issue quickly w\o charging me. Quality, respectful company. Would definitely hire again.
