"I needed someone to replace some water-damaged hard wood flooring in a 120-year-old house in Washington, DC. I received three different flooring quotes from area companies, and I was particularly impressed with the District Floor Depot’s team. Mario came out to conduct the initial assessment and was kind enough to provide a thorough summary of options available for the repairs and finishing. The office sales and project management team took his notes and assembled a detailed quote that ultimately was cheaper than the closest competitor. In the end, we liked our experience so much that we expanded the work to cover resurfacing the wood flooring in the entire home. There was an error in the quote that altered the price, but Lesli called me and walked me through the correction and explained that the final quote was actually cheaper than the original. I was very thankful for that clarification that saved me money. The team was incredibly responsive with the planning and contracting phases. The initial job was scheduled to take 3-4 days, but they assigned a guy named Ever and his team to the job. Ever was very responsive to my inquiries and ended up completing the job in only two days. The red oak flooring was a decent match with remaining original boards, and the finish we used matched all the stairs and railings we didn’t refinish. The major dust and debris generated from sanding a 1,600 square-foot space was expertly cleaned up from all surfaces, which really exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t be happier! We had a small section of our vinyl floor cut out by our previous owners to install a wooden railing. We removed the railing and needed the flooring patched with some of the flooring we had stored away. I contacted so many floor companies who said the job was 'too risky' and declined the job, or told us we needed to replace the entire floor (for like $5k). "After resolving an initial issue with dust collection, Elegant Floors completed the job extremely well. We had originally gotten estimates to replace the floors, but the cost of refinishing was considerably less, and our 35-year-old oak floors look brand new again! Elegant Floors was the only contractor that suggested replacing the heating registers with flush-mount, which gives a very finished look. The crew was professional, cleaned up every day, and did outstanding work. BTW, dust turned out to be a non-issue; their standard system left very little dust upon completion of the job."

"Painted entire bathroom, put up linen closet wood shelves, put up 2 mirrors, 2 light fixtures, toilet paper holder, hand towel holder, regular size towel holder, 2 robe hooks, had to make a hole for jacuzzi tub to get to motor if we ever have a problem, put in a glass shelf above the tile around the tub, put handicap rail up, put in shower seat, put fixture in shower handle and shower head, tiled entire shower, above the tub, had to move the light switch like half an inch up, put on light switch covers, put up new blinds I had, painted door and put on new door knob.. I think I got it all lol.. It had a lot of little things that needed done, then the tiling, the floor tile was already done except the step to the tub which was a small step. All my sink & tub fixtures were already done. Everything that was put in I already had that we picked out years ago. I wish I could attach photos it's amazing!

The team even further reenforced the floor in areas that needed it. They painted number of samples for us to pick the stain. Very positive experience. The house is about 4800 sq feet and they finished in less than 10 days. Hardwood for 1st and 2nd floors and luxury LVP for basement."
