"My husband and I live in a historic rowhome, and we were very nervous about finding a company we could trust to give us what we wanted but also know what would work in our house. We interviewed a few companies, and VKB was exactly what we were looking for. Calvin, our designer, came to our house, listened to my ideas, and thoroughly examined the space. A few days later, we met with him and Sean in the showroom to see what they envisioned (a lot like these HGTV shows where you get the hypothetical 3D layout). I felt like they had read my mind. We loved the proposal, so we went ahead and picked cabinets, tile, hardware, etc. that day! The project started within a week or two. Jason, the project manager, came by frequently and made sure all of my questions and concerns were addressed. On days when I didn't see him, he called to keep me updated and to make sure I was satisfied with the progress. The workers were very respectful of our home, protecting our furniture and floors and keeping the house as clean as possible. We had a few minor issues along the way (very minor compared to most renos) but Jason was quick to address them and make sure things went smoothly. The quality of their work is excellent. Overall, we are very satisfied and would recommend VKB to anyone looking for a design-to-build company."

Needed carpenter to build a footbridge using repurposed wood, install insect screen under raised screen-in porch, install oak handrails, fix the threshold to our front door, and add shoe molding in basement. JW (owner) was pleasant, professional, and thorough when he came out to give an estimate. He listened to what we wanted done and suggested ways to make it work. Scheduling was a breeze. A team of two came out to complete our projects. Of course temperatures were in the 90s, but they worked nonstop. Pedro (crew chief) built our footbridge based only on description. The results were amazing. It's sturdy, attractive, and durable. Kudos for great work. Other projects were completed within the timeframe with Kevin working on the screen and railings with assistance from Pedro. The crew was timely, professional, courteous. They cleaned up at the end of each day. All work was completed within 4 days. There was only a minor issue with the oak hand rails (needed additional sanding) -- which was remedied quickly after review of the project manager, Bob. JW was a tad more expensive that other bids, but in the end, well worth the price. Glad we went with them."

"The overall project took just over a month. It was a mess and somewhat awkward to get through, but the end result was WELL worth the dust and mess. The crew was professional, kind, gentle, and understanding. The work was meticulously and carefully done. Their recommendations and suggestions were accurate and reliable. The business side of the project was detailed, clear, qualified, efficient, and comfortable. The carpenters even let me watch and ask questions about their work probably more than I should have been but they were always gracious and patient. Bruce was top-notch as the lead carpenter. Jeff offered excellent assistance. Steve, in his quiet and deferential way, was the perfect owner, project manager, salesman, and organizer. This was an interesting, fun, and ultimately rewarding experience for me. I love the work they did in my kitchen and bathroom. I highly recommend!"

"Jeff, from Waterstone met with us and had multiple conversations to understand what we were looking for, then created professional drawings; he made suggestions on tile, cabinets, and countertops to match our vision.  He met with me to choose cabinets, also at the granite shop, and brought sample tile to my house.
The Project manager, Jake, and the crew including Nelson were great to work with. They took care of the permits and all delivery items.  They laid tarp from the front door to the bathroom, so as not to track dirt in.  They showed up every day and did the work they needed to.  They paid attention to details, made corrections to items that I hadn't noticed needed fixing.
They met with us after all work was complete to review any outstanding items or items that needed correction.  Everything I found (maybe 3 items) were all minor.
I would highly recommend them and would hire them again.
