"We donated a piano to the Salvation Army. Even though given specifics, the 2 men and a truck sent by the SA to pick it up were unprepared: no dolly or ramp for easily moving the piano down two steps. I contacted Angie’s List for piano movers and was given a list of 4 possibilities. Johnson’s contacted me by phone within one-half hour of my request (on a Friday afternoon) and gave an estimate over the phone. I complied with the recommendation that I get other estimates: 2 companies responded by email by the following Monday. The first was not located in our area, and the second gave a written estimate more than double Johnson’s price. Johnson’s was able to schedule the pick up for that same Monday. Three men came promptly, were prepared with a ramp, dolly, and furniture padding. It took them not more than 15 minutes to get the piano and bench out of the house and onto the truck. They were efficient and courteous. Would definitely hire them again."
