Ted from Johnson’s worked with me to have my piano moved into their climate-controlled storage for a week during the installation. My house has a side entrance which made the move pretty challenging, but the excellent crews who moved the piano out and back in were very creative in accommodating the challenge with the front door and they took great care not to damage my railings on the stoop. "We can't review Majestic Moving and Storage highly enough.  They were absolutely delightful to work with. To start, they do in home estimates.  In the past, we've always used moving companies who make us estimate how big/heavy our furniture is and we're always wrong so the estimate is always wrong.  Our estimate was reasonable and completely accurate.  They provided a low end and a high end on the estimate to give us a guide of what it would cost if everything ran smoothly and what it would cost if we had a crazy snowy day.
On the day of the move, the team was a little delayed by traffic but they called to let us know. Once they arrived they unloaded our condo quickly - which is challenging because it's on the third floor of a garden style building.  There are no elevators and the staircases aren't very wide. They asked lots of questions about where items were going in the new house and loaded the truck in the order they'd unload it.  It took a little time but when they arrived at the new house, they were able to unload so quickly.  Even with their traffic delay, they finished well within the time estimate and actually below the low end price on the estimate.  
We didn't have a single damaged item in the move.  Honestly, we don't have a single complaint about the service we received.

The team arrived early for our 1500 hrs appointment. They consulted with the person selling the piano to us to optimize the process to exit of the piano from the back of the house to the truck. My family and I arrived shortly after that and signed the final paperwork.

The team got to work and had the piano out of the house and in the truck within 10 minutes. It was moved to our house. Unpacking and moving it into our house and to our front room probably took 5 minutes. The speed and efficiency were amazing. We watched them and the care they took to ensure the safety of the piano was comforting to us. Good job, team!

"Our experience with G&G moving was excellent.  The communication pre-move couldn't have been better.  I received replies to my emails and calls almost immediately.  Leading up to the move, I had a phone call to confirm and set the time of their arrival.  On the day of the move, I received a phone call to give me 15 minute arrival time. 
The 3-person team was on time, professional, courteous, and got right to work.  We had heavy pieces of furniture that they moved with a few dings, but that was expected on our end. We also had exercise equipment downstairs that was quite difficult to get out of the basement that really slowed things down.   I know I was surprised on how much harder the move was.  I totally underestimated the job.  I think if I had been realistic they would have sent more than 3 people.  That being said, when the movers realized that they needed more people, they called and another mover came to help. 
What is really good about G&G Moving that you might not realize is a HUGE factor to consider when choosing a mover is that they charge a "flat rate."  I know I would have been STRESSING that the move was taking longer than I had planned if it had been a 3 hour + hourly charge. 
The team was very competent.  They had someone with expertise in taking furniture apart and back together, they had someone who specialized in appliances (which was very helpful getting a W&D into a small laundry room - he knew the tricks!)
Everything went as well as could be expected for the size of the move and my underestimating the difficulty of the move.  We definitely will highly recommend this company to our friends.
Realistically, looking back on the move, it went as smoothly as one could expect.

She hired A Plus Moving to pack and move her, and also to move some of her furniture to my sister in Bowie MD, Mother has hired professional movers 11 times for both long and short distance moves. A Plus provided the best service of any of the movers she has used. They were very professional, courteous, efficient and considerate. Everything was well packed and came out undamaged. They were efficient. The building my mother moved to has a very short time frame for move in. Everything was moved in the required limited time frame, even though they had a very full truck with an enormous number of boxes and lots of furniture. They were careful with her furniture, wrapping the furniture on the way out and unwrapping at delivery. In addition, they were very polite and respectful to my elderly mother.
