"On my initial communication with JHOSS PLUMBING, I really experienced a great rapport. I was very pleased with his ability to listen attentively, act quickly and his ability to make the necessary connections with the third party to ensure scheduling for the Generator Inspection. I applaud Jeff's quick action and his skills to perform the duties to get the job done. I highly recommend Jeff w/JHOSS PLUMBING SERVICES for Inspections of your gas line and making quick connections with third parties to meet deadlines. I give him more than the average of 5 starts because of the aforementioned. Well worth the money!! â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸ â ï¸"

"Technician checked my A/C unit. He cleaned the drain line and checked the outside coil and system charge. He checked the fan, fan motor and the compressor operation. He also checked the electrical components and visually inspected the electrical connections and wiring."

"Service was great. It took them some time to figure out what was exactly wrong, but once they figured it out, they fixed the problem right away. They cleaned up after themselves and came back a couple days later to check to see if everything was working properly. They were very courteous and I would recommend and use them for any future plumbing needs."

"JFK Plumbing owner, performed an evaluation of my existing sump pump issue and recommended it be replaced. I was ready to replace it due to its age. The pump he installed was the best replacement option with equal or better quality than the old one. It was a bit pricy, but you get what you pay for, hopefully. He arrived timely and worked efficiently, performing the task within the time frame he estimated during the evaluation. All work was completed and the area was left clean."

"Prompt appt. I appreciate them thinking outside the box or rather outside the house. Instead of removing two toilets to snake, they did it through from the roof."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Cat pee has a strong ammonia-like smell, so if you smell cat pee but don’t have a cat or don’t suspect your cat has any accidents, there could be other issues at hand. Aside from pet urine, your house may smell like cat pee from leaking freon from an old fridge, mold, spilled cleaning supplies, or even outside odors from nearby farms.

The cost to repair a main sewer line clog is about $3,110 on average. The average cost range is  $1,310 to $4,950, but it can go as low as $215 and as high as $9,300 or more. The cost factors for this repair include the severity of the clog, pipe accessibility, video inspection, removal method, permits, pipe material, labor rates in your area, and time of year. Repairs made from outside during the winter can be more difficult due to the frozen ground or during the spring if the ground is saturated from a lot of rain and snow melt.

Even with a high-resolution camera, what you're looking at on the screen may not be recognizable to the untrained eye. Your plumber should be willing to walk you through the video and explain what they found. With high-res images, bright lighting, and self-leveling technology, you should get clear, steady views of the pipes that make up your plumbing system.

There are many things that could cause your basement floor drain to back up. One significant cause of a drainage backup is flushing non-flushable items, such as wipes, paper towels, and facial tissue. Other causes of a backed-up basement floor drain include tree roots impeding the drain pipe or an accumulation of hair, oil, and grease.

Some experts estimate that descaling your cast iron pipes can extend their lifetime by upwards of 50 years, although there’s not a lot of research to prove it. But we do know that without proper maintenance, cast iron pipes can quickly rust—leading to more expensive issues like burst pipes or main line clogs.
