"Daniel did an excellent job removing stains and overall grime on a carpet that had not been cleaned in 5 Years. It looks brand new. I was a little hesitant on the higher than expected cost but he did a â carpet restorationâ that was worth the price. I would recommend him highly."

"I couldn't be happier with the carpet cleaning service! The team was professional, friendly, and incredibly efficient from start to finish. They arrived on time, worked quickly, and did an amazing job bringing our carpets back to life. The pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the work. They were able to refresh areas I wasn't sure would ever look this good again. The carpets look and smell fantastic, and the whole house feels cleaner and brighter. If you're looking for a reliable, affordable carpet cleaning company that delivers excellent results, I highly recommend them. We will definitely be using their services again!"

"Milestone Restoration is an owner operated small business. The principle, Patrice, is friendly, polite and a respectful person. Overall an excellent human being. He has the latest equipment with excellent knowledge of his work area. I have not experienced this kind of expertise in any other technicians. He was punctual, went right to work and had the carpets ready within a few hours as he had estimated. The carpet and the area rugs have not looked as clean as they look now. Excellent work! I have no hesitation in recommending Milestone Restorations for any one of the jobs the company offers."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

In order to avoid long-lasting waves, indents, or sticking, it’s a good idea to wait at least 24 hours after fresh carpet is laid to put weighty furniture on top of it. However, you can begin walking on your new carpet right after it’s installed, and doing so can actually help it adhere to the floor better.

Installing carpet tile takes a pro a few hours per room, while experienced DIYers may take a little longer. However, that does not factor in the time needed to remove the old carpet. Also, if there are issues with the subfloor, fixing it will add to the overall time it takes to complete the installation.

Berber is a loop pile carpet known for its strength, durability, and distinct looped look. It can be made from a number of different carpet materials, including nylon and wool. However, Berber isn’t as soft as cut pile carpet, so it isn’t the best carpet for a bedroom (although it’s a good style of carpet for living rooms).

With that said, if you really like the look of Berber, you can still install it in your bedroom—it just might not be as comfortable on your feet as cut pile carpeting.

No, thick carpet padding isn’t necessarily better than thinner padding. The appropriate padding thickness will depend on the type of carpet and the amount of foot traffic in the area.

For example, thick padding works well in low-traffic areas, like bedrooms, where you have soft and plush carpeting. However, thick carpet padding can damage low-pile carpet, which is used in the busiest parts of your home (like hallways and entryways). For that reason, it’s best to use thinner, heavier padding underneath carpet in high-traffic areas.

Yes, carpeted stairs are generally considered safer than stairs with hard surfaces like wood, vinyl, or tile. Carpet provides more traction and friction, which helps reduce the chances of slips and falls. Additionally, if a fall does occur, carpet offers more cushioning, which can lessen the severity of an injury. While hard surfaces can look great, they are often more slippery. However, it's worth noting that some carpets, especially if they are new, dirty, or have a slick texture, can also pose a slipping hazard. To improve safety on any type of stair surface, you can add traction treads to increase grip.
