"R&G exceeded my expectations. They called me before I finished punching their phone number in. The plumbers we've used for 20 years did not pick-up, can't imagine why, it's only Christmas day. R&G showed up when they said they would, spent a few minutes looking at the system, identified the issue and resolved it in 15 minutes. Yes, I'll use them again and recommend them to others."

"Sterling, the technician was able to assure me on the phone that he was the right person to alleviate my plumbing issue. I had two meetings with other plumbers regarding clearing my outside basement drain of impacted mud. He assured me that he had the needed equipment to unclog the drain. After being disappointed by both other plumbers, I took a chance and was very pleased with the outcome. Dun Rite, LLC (Sterling) was on time and delivered outstanding professional service."

",Our Master Bath was in desperate need of renovation for quite a while, but we finally decided to do something about it when the shower pipes started leaking into the downstairs kitchen and we had to turn off the water to the shower.  We went to Angie's List and found VKB with glowing reviews and in the area.  We stopped by the showroom and liked what we saw.  We set up an appointment to have designer Junior and Sean come out and look at the space.
Originally we thought to have both upstairs bathrooms done, but we were a little naive as to the cost, so we told them to work on the design for the Master bath only.  (As to the cost, after doing research on the internet, we realized there quoted prices were more than reasonable.)
The space they had to work with was very awkward and difficult with sharp angles and odd spaces from a previous addition.  We set up an appointment with Junior and Sean to go over the design.  We all worked together to come up with a design that left us thinking ?this is how it was supposed to look.?  We just knew it was right.  We then picked out floor and shower tiles, cabinets, counter-top, and hardware.  The meeting from designing through picking materials was four hours.
The work start to finish took 5-6 weeks, a bit longer than expected, but not an issue for us.  It would have been four weeks but for an adjustment on the mirror we made which added 1.5 weeks waiting for delivery.  We had the shower after about 2 weeks, the toilet a few days later.  After that it was scheduling for the counter top, glass for the shower, plumber for sinks, electrician for the vanity. The chosen materials were of high quality and the craftsmen did an excellent job in the installations.  In addition, the craftsmen were courteous and treated our house with respect during the renovation.  Through the entire process Jason, who oversaw the project, regularly stopped by or contacted us by  phone to make sure that we were happy with the work, to answer any questions that we might have, and to make sure we knew he was available 24/7.  He always let us know when someone was coming, and people arrived on schedule.  The stress level for waiting  and having people in the house was very low.
AND, we absolutely love our bathroom.  It is now our showpiece.  The shower makes my day.  The neutral tones are soothing.  Two sinks!, we should have done this years ago!  I'd say it was well worth the difficulties, but there were no difficulties!"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

While tubs are fairly sturdy, you may notice cracks or holes. This kind of damage can happen from someone accidentally dropping something heavy into the tub. You might also see damage if you drop something heavy into the tub over and over again (like your extra large bottle of body wash). While you might only notice a small dent at first, this can later turn into a crack or a hole.

Also, certain cleaners that are harmful to your tub can cause damage. And if you have a fiberglass tub, you might see cracks if it was not installed properly with the right support.

If you notice water leaking down the side of the bowl or tank and you don’t notice any cracks in the porcelain, the odds are that it’s condensation. If you notice water around the base of the toilet, this points to a leak. Check for loose bolts. A sewage odor may also indicate a broken toilet flange.

Older faucet fixtures may have some corrosion, leaving them stuck. Try a few techniques to loosen the fixtures.

  • Wrap the fixture with a towel and tap the base with a hammer.

  • Use a putty knife to gently remove any caulk that may be holding the handle or fixture in place.

  • Apply a few drops of penetrating oil around the base of the fixture or around the nuts.

  • Purchase a faucet pulling tool to pop the fixture loose.

Depending on the issue and materials, costs range from $150 to $500.

A burst pipe can cause serious water damage within 24 hours. Once a leak or flood starts, mold can develop, floors and walls can become saturated, electronics can be damaged, and structural issues can occur. This process may be accelerated  depending on the severity of the burst pipe. Call an emergency plumber immediately when a pipe bursts in your home.
