"They did an amazing job!  The finished project could not have been better.  I gave them two B's because I am a little bit of a hard grader but I think this is fair.  The first B was for price.  Maxsell's prices are not overly expensive, in fact, I think I paid a fair price for the quality of work that was done but I wouldn't say they were cheap.  Also, I should mention that the original scope of work I asked for was too expensive but they were willing to work with me to come up with something that was within my budget and still met most of my needs.  The second B I gave them was for responsiveness.  This was mostly for the front end scheduling piece.  After the initial estimate, I had to call a couple of times to get on the schedule and make sure they were coming, nothing major but not worthy of an A.  Once the work started I had no problems.  The workmen and supervisors were easy to deal with responsive to my questions and did a great job!
Overall, I thought Maxsell did an amazing job.  I would definitely hire them again and probably will hire them this summer.  You cannot go wrong with this company.

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Like pools, ponds can be a safety risk, so they may increase your homeowners insurance. Be sure to let your insurance company know if you build a pond on your property—they may have safety requirements in order to keep your premium from increasing.

Backyard water features can add serenity to your property, drown out neighborhood noise, and serve as a focal point to a stunning landscape design. In some cases, a properly installed and maintained water feature can add to your home’s value. Just be sure to check with your insurance company before installation since some features may affect your premiums.

Smaller, pondless water features like bird baths, self-contained fountains, and bubbling rocks are much lower maintenance than their counterparts that include ponds. Pondless features help you avoid high pond maintenance costs and allow you to spend more time enjoying the water feature and less time on upkeep.

When deciding whether or not to turn off your pump, you should consider your area’s climate and the aquatic life in your pond. If you live in an area with freezing winter temperatures and don’t have any wildlife, keeping your pump on could damage it. If you have aquatic life but live in a colder climate, you might consider keeping your pump running and adding a pond heater.

You have several options for your pond by getting your yard ready for the winter. You can winterize your koi pond by ensuring it’s at least 5 feet deep so it doesn’t freeze completely, installing a pond heater or aerator and having it run at all times, and installing a deicer if temperatures are dangerously low for an extended period. You can also choose to shut down your pond for the winter by removing all the wildlife in it and bringing it indoors, cleaning out the filter and pump, and then covering the pond with a tarp.
