"I reached out to The Waterline Group (TWG) after getting a quote from one of the large plumbing companies in the area. The problem was a bad Backflow Preventer. The quote was very high and included work that didnâ t need to be done. TWG inspected the problem and got me on the schedule quickly for $900 less than what I was previously quoted. The TWG technicians were very polite and efficient and everything has been working great ever since. TWG exceeded my expectations and they will be my first call the next time I have a plumbing problem."

"A year ago, I hired VKB Kitchen & bath to build an additional master bathroom and renovated old bath. The great president, Paul P Ibrahimov assigned me a wonderful project manager, Will Vusal for my project. I am grateful to have Mr. Will to be my project manager. He and his team did an extremely marvelous job for the additional master bath and old bath remodel They look beautiful and credential. I have given 5 plus stars review for their job through google review. Today I want to recognize MR. Will, the project manager for his continuous responsible of customer care service and help to resolve any problems they have. He is doing his best to uphold the vkb company core values by guaranteeing a two-year warranty of the quality. Exp, my 88 years old mom was waiting for help with the removal of the shower drain filter to clean it. When I called Mr. Will for the help, he came by himself today to help to resolve the problem. "Melvin is a hard worker who always showed up on time, and completed the job as promised, and for the agreed-upon amount. He is cheerful, takes proper precautions to protect the home, then cleans up after himself each day. We gave him the difficult task of working around the very tight schedule of the plumber, the electrician and the granite installers, for our kitchen remodel. He did a terrific job, and we would definitely hire him again."

Plumbing FAQs, answered by experts

Frozen water doesn’t always cause a pipe to burst. Most of the time, a clog will simply prevent your sink from draining properly. Plastic and PVC pipes could warp to expand with the frozen water without rupturing. But as the cold weather progresses and more water or debris piles up in a frozen pipe, the risk of a burst pipe increases.

If the toilet is overflowing but there’s no clog, that’s a sign that the issue is deeper in the system, and plunging may not help. A blockage in your home’s plumbing, the plumbing vent, or even city sewer lines can cause toilets to overflow. The issue could also be the toilet itself if the filler float isn’t set to the correct height or if parts are damaged or worn out.

If you go to turn it counterclockwise and it won’t turn anymore, it’s open. Like most other valves, you should be able to turn a radiator valve counterclockwise (to the left) to open it and clockwise (right) to close it. To close a radiator valve, turn it clockwise until you meet some resistance and can’t turn anymore, but do so carefully to avoid breaking the valve.

The normal water level in a toilet bowl is about halfway full. The water should sit above the P trap drain because this creates a seal and suction. When you flush the toilet, the suction keeps sewer gases from entering your house through your toilet. Anytime the water level is higher or lower than half full, you need to make adjustments or replace broken parts.

You could be smelling sewer gas in your kitchen because of a dry P-trap, clogged vent pipe, or leaking plumbing seals. If you smell a rotten egg odor, check your sink’s P-trap and plumbing connections first. A clogged or damaged vent pipe can trap sewer gas and push it back into your kitchen through the plumbing pipes. Loose or deteriorated seals around drainpipes can also allow sewer gas to leak out. If you can’t find the source, call a local plumber for expert help.
