"Because of the great service from Best Buy I feel compelled to update my review below. My situation was complicated. A spring runs continuously under our slab, there was water in several places within our finished basement, and there was a leak under a supporting I beam. Best Buy, unlike other companies, warrants the entire floor, not merely the area around their work. This warranty is invaluable as my experience demonstrated. Andrew, the owner, and his crew came out at least 5 times, sometimes on short notice, once on Sunday, to figure out how to solve all of the complicated issues. They had to build a perimeter drain, a lateral drain, and a speed drain and they had to epoxy around the supporting beam. On one occasion I called because there was a damp spot in one place, but Andrew pointed out several others that I'd missed. Of course, it wasn't in his interest to do so as it required more work. I highly recommend Best Buy!"

"It was a big project, requiring jackhammering out a portion of the basement floor and putting in a french drain and sump pump. The crew was professional, very hardworking and kept the mess to a minimum. The crew lifting the pavement were very skilled and patient in answering our many questions about the process. Everyone did a great job and we appreciate all their help in solving our flooding problems. "After receiving 3 quotes for replacing my deteriorating retaining wall, I chose J&R Chavez Landscaping. Positive reviews, the owner’s assessment, and a reasonable estimate convinced me. I accepted their bid on December 29, 2025. J&R submitted the permit request two days later. Unfortunately, the permit was approved on February 13, 2026, outside contractor control. Work began on February 16, with a good crew working when weather permitted. Delays due to quite bad winter were unavoidable. They discovered the old wall lacked a proper footing so the estimate was adjusted to install a new footing. Jose was transparent about necessary adjustments. The installation took until April 4, 2026, due to weather delays and town inspections. I’m very pleased with the strong, well-drained wall. I enjoyed dealing with J&R Chavez Landscaping with two small issues, communication about delays could be improved and Jose never got back to me about some agreed post job landscaping. Still, great job."

"I browsed around and found John Krause Construction. I made a call to thier office and they got back to me very quickly, I was able to get an estimate on the work the following day. John Krause had went over all the details with me about all the work i wanted done, and i found this helpful since it was my first home owner experience. I wanted to finance the work since i was having a large amount done and they even offer a financing option which was a very easy process to complete. John Krause was able to beat multiple other contractors and large businesses when it came to pricing by quite a bit.                                                                              The quality of work was well beyond pricing. All of my work was completed very quickly within a week or so. Everything looked exceptional. His employees were very friendly and made sure to clean up everyday before leaving. My privacy fence, doorway and gutter are all well above what i expected. The grading of the backyard was also done excellent. My backyard now properly drains so i'm not left with a small pond anymore. Another positive i liked is John followed up with me a few weeks after the work was completed to ensure everything was still good to go, which it was of course.                                                                                                    I would highly recommend using John Krause Construction for ANYTHING you need done. I will be going to them for any and all work i need done in the future. The quality of work, pricing and customer service is unparalleled.
