"I would not recommend them. Initially it appeared they did a good job on my rubber roof, so I hired them again for full gutters, which they subcontracted out. Within the year I had a large leak develop behind their new gutter. They acknowledged the problem but it took months, and constant badgering by email and phone, to get them to come back and fix the problem. They tried a temporary fix with sealer, which failed in weeks, and then it took weeks longer to get them to come back and install a fascia apron. The next year, my rubber roof leaked where they had flashed it. Again it took months to get them to come back and look at it, with constant badgering. When they came back they applied a copious amount of sealer and told me that I had a rot problem with a wooden railing that I would need a carpenter for, and that they would send me photographs and suggestions for repair. They never replied after that, and the leak continued despite their sealing attempt. I finally gave up and found a new roofer, who tells me that they did an inferior job in the first place, and the repair is costing me thousands of dollars."

"I had a terrible experience with Roofers Edges & Siding Inc. We decided to replace the roof for solar system, and hired them to do the job. Remember: you are not hiring Kevin but his crew!!! The communication was extremely poor. At first, despite Kevin agreeing to use an ice shield for the front of my house, his crew was unaware of this requirement. I saw they are using the wrong material, and I had to contact Kevin at the installation day to ensure they were doing the job correctly. It was frustrating that the crew couldn't understand English, and Kevin himself never showed up at my house after the initial estimate. To make matters worse, the roof replacement resulted in a severe water leak problem between my chimney and roof. I asked them to fix it, but they failed once and never showed up again even though they provided an one-year warranty. At very beginning, I fully trusted them, and didn't check regularly, eventually I found the leaking problem persisted several months after the replacement the roof! Despite numerous attempts to contact Kevin, he consistently failed to respond to my calls and texts. The lack of professionalism continued when they claimed to have applied for a permit for the job, and I trusted them. However, several months later, I found out that there was no record of the application with the town. When I contacted them, they said the issue is an incorrect address, how un-professional they are! Overall, I would not recommend Roofers Edges & Siding Inc to anyone. Their poor communication, lack of professionalism, and shoddy workmanship were unacceptable. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy roofer, I suggest you look elsewhere."

"You won't hear anything but a rave review from me. Ten did our complicated 3rd floor duplex roof --part flat roof, part mansard, plus a lower flat roof. For reasons I won't bore you with, his crew had to work hand in glove with two other contractors simultaneously (an insulation guy and a deck builder). A lot of roofers would hate that, coz if they don't agree on times, the job drags on. Ten and his crew worked very well with the other guys. The job was done excellently. I priced a lot of roofers and questioned him carefully on materials etc. He was very collaborative. I'd had prior experience with a roofer, and it was a disaster. (It was my first experience with a big contracting job as a homeowner. I've learned my lesson.) The very reason I hired Ten only 10 years after the prior job was because the prior job was lousy and the contractor a dishonest take-the-money-and-run guy. And don't get me started on the mess. They didn't do the seams or anything at ALL right --which is why I was gathering roofing nails off my driveway for years. NOT so with Ten's crew. They cleaned everything up. It's not just that Ten is responsive, fair thorough. He keeps a happy crew. I like that, both because a happy crew does better work, but also as a human, I like seeing guys working their butts off in the hot sun treated like equals. In the years since, a problem arose around a skylight. Ten showed up fast, got up on the roof himself and fixed it. After that job, I recommended him to a few friends. They were all ecstatic about Ten Arya, his crew, their attitude and their work. Good, capable, honorable contractors are precious. Just today, they came by and redid the small roof over my front porch. (I was pinching pennies and didn't get it done with the original job.) Nothing had changed in terms of responsiveness, thoroughness and quality of work. This is an A+++++ review. (One last thought: If he does your roof, you're already spending a chunk of change on your roof. So buying the crew grinders and soda for lunch is money well-spent. They get their energy levels up and they're happy to do the job right for you.)"

Does your company have multiple locations? This will let you know if they are truly local or a large company briefly working your area after a storm.
Do you offer a workmanship warranty? Confirm in writing the time length and details of such warranty.
Do you have quality reviews? All roofing contractors have references of their successful jobs. Good contractors won't have many negative reviews.
How will you protect our windows, siding and landscaping?
Will you remove my old or damaged roof?
Some disqualifying signs to look for are:
-Did the contractor cold call or knock on your door?
-Does the contractor look or talk like a salesman?
-Does the contractor have profiles on many different websites? Poor contractors will avoid an online presence to avoid bad reviews.
