The company sent two men to repair roof. They broke two tiles on the roof. C/39 billed us $300 which included the slipped tile and two broken tiles which were NOT broken before they arrived. We called and sent email to get resolved and they never returned call, etc. They knew we we in escrow on a tight time limit and ended up holding us hostage. Do not hire this company... they are dishonest.

"This is an unfortunate situation as these clients were selling their home and needed immediate repairs close their deal on the sale. We at C39 roofing, took the time to accommodate their situation given their situation. The client provided a home inspection report to C39 Roofing to go off and repair the roof. Upon arrival at the clients home, the technicians, took the time to address all the repairs on roof. The customer claimed that C39 Roofing technicians broke the tiles. We have pictures of the before and after repairs, it is evident these tiles were broken before arrival for repairs. The original cost was $250.00 and the additional repairs for the broken tiles was $50.00. Customer just did not want to pay the $50 for the additional tiles. it is unfortunate that she took the liberty to write a false statement given the fact that the work was performed according to the inspection report and C39 Roofing took the time to accommodate her schedule in such a short notice. Given these situations C39 Roofing would have passed on the request knowing the nature of this customers attitudes and prejudice."

Very happy with C39! Our roof had a few tiles that were broken and needed repair. Fidel and his team did an awesome job - He quoted me a great price (better than everyone else), showed up on time and got the job done. Great customer service. I will be hiring them again when I need a new roof in 5 or so years.

C-39 did an excellent job on everything. Repairing the termite damage, the re-roof using my old tiles and adding new tiles that were needed from previously broken or damaged tiles. C-39 is an excellent company with very professional people that were on the job on time and cleaned up every day at the end of the day. This job took about 4 days with 4-5 people working on the job every day. C-39 Roofing gives you "Value for your Money" in every way going above and beyond normal job site requirements. The way I feel about C-39 is if you don't use them you did not get "The Best" roofing company. I hope every contractor that I hire for any other jobs {Kitchen Remodel] will be as good & professional as C-39. The quality of the entire project could not have been better.

The service was terrible. It took 2 months for the service to be completed. He came out within a couple of days. He had to order some materials and then he never called me back. The price ended up being higher than the cost of the deal that I purchased. After agreeing to a rate of $250, he sent me an invoice for $300.00. He sent 2 workers out to do the work in the middle of a rain storm. He billed me, and would not come out to check the work. He said he isn't coming out and to just send him $100. His work was good but his professionalism wasn't. I would not use him again.

Fidel brought his crew member, Alberto who assessed the area of my roof with the leak. By himself, he began the process of removing tiles in the area of the leak until he found the source, where he took several pictures with his phone (as I requested) and showed me the damage under the paper. Alberto placed new paper and returned the tiles to their proper places in one afternoon. This was important as the very next day it rained and we had no worries that the roof would leak again!

This was my first time to use Angie's List, and based on this transaction, it probably will be my last time, C39 roofing never contacted me to schedule the work. As San Marcos is a fair distance from San Diego, I assumed they would attempt to schedule several inspections for the same day and call me to schedule. My attempt to contact C39 Roofing was not successful. I called my credit card provider and put the transaction in dispute. The charge was removed from my account. C39 Roofing never contacted me. The roof inspection and flashing maintenance was done by another company. Angie's List needs to better screen their advertisers.

"It is unfortunate that we weren't able to contact you for your service. As our records indicate your purchase was on Tuesday November 1st. We received your call the next day Wednesday November 2nd to cancel the purchase. We usually take a day to schedule someone to come out and inspect the roof for the repair and then schedule any repairs for service. As our track record indicates we are prompt and responsive to all of our customers needs."

I left an average rating because my experience was both good and bad. Long story short, I got what I paid for, but the communication was not the greatest.
First the good:
Fidel came to look at my roof, which is not in the best shape. He gave me some good advice and recommended I get it replaced within a year or so. He gave me an estimate for the roof replacement, but I settled on just repairing the leaks. He had a guy come out and seal up the leaking flashings and vents.
Then the not so good:
Scheduling the repair required me to reach out to Fidel a few times. After the first visit, I didn't hear from him for a couple of weeks, so I sent an email reminder. I got a response, but it took another 2 weeks to get the actual repair done. A mis-communication resulted in the repair being done on the wrong day, and some of the minor repairs we discussed on the first visit didn't end up getting done and I wasn't charged for them.

Prompt response to initial call. Arrived at scheduled time for quote. Professional demeanor. Detailed bid proposal; competitively priced. Ensured all questions were answered. Fit us in to his schedule earlier than planned. Work was done on-time, on schedule, work area cleaned up, polite work crew. Would definitely use him again and highly recommend.

The owner emailed his bid to us one day after we met. This guy was always on top of things. We choose his bid after looking at two others.
He was in touch with us before and as they got started. Most every day he came by to check with us re questions and concerns, and to check on his workers. It was so good to be able to talk with the owner of the company. He knew exactly what was going on. He took photos befote, during and after completion. The guys who put the roof on were always respectful, careful and cleaned up at the end of each day.
I highly recommend C/39 roofing. I feel like we lucked out and Angie's list made it possible to find the very best out of a lot of good companies.

I initially discovered C39 when i came across their Angie's Big Deal. I contacted them and the owner Fidel promptly returned my call and answered all of my questions. I had an estimate done by another roofer and decided to go with C39 due to the great price, awesome reviews, and Fidel's wonderful customer service. I was not able to schedule the install right away due to personal schedule conflicts, but Fidel kept in touch and was very accommodating throughout. The roof removal and installation went even better than expected! Fidel stopped by every day to check on the crew and explain what work had (or would) be performed that day. The crew was very courteous and professional, making sure to clean up around the house each afternoon. There were a few minor issues that came up during the install (wood damage, vent placement, etc) and Fidel quickly explained the situation and gave recommendations each time. The original estimate was 5-7 days, and the job was actually completed in 4 which was an added bonus. They even painted all of the vents and pipes to match the shingles afterward! We couldn't be more pleased with the overall experience, and will definitely do business with C39 again!

Fast Work with High Quality. Crew was friendly and efficient...kept work site clean and even worked around my dogs. Even offered to come back and check the roof after my solar installers completed the job to make sure everything was sound.

I had several bids for a very complicated roof job at my home. My roof is very steep with lots of cut up areas and even some flat roof areas. I knew there was going to be wood repair as the house had been neglected by previous owner ( I bought as a fixer upper). With an entire remodel going on the roof was going to be very important in keeping all of my investment safe. Fidel and his crew did an awesome job. They kept the job clean, repaired the wood at a very fair price. Above all the roofing job was / is excellent. Fidel was in and around the job often making sure all was right. I would use C39 on any job you have mine had TPO, toch down, and composition. I also had areas where the guys had to be harnessed do to the steepness of the roof. Great Job!! Thanks Fidel.
