You won't hear anything but a rave review from me. Ten did our complicated 3rd floor duplex roof --part flat roof, part mansard, plus a lower flat roof. For reasons I won't bore you with, his crew had to work hand in glove with two other contractors simultaneously (an insulation guy and a deck builder). A lot of roofers would hate that, coz if they don't agree on times, the job drags on. Ten and his crew worked very well with the other guys. The job was done excellently. I priced a lot of roofers and questioned him carefully on materials etc. He was very collaborative. I'd had prior experience with a roofer, and it was a disaster. (It was my first experience with a big contracting job as a homeowner. I've learned my lesson.) The very reason I hired Ten only 10 years after the prior job was because the prior job was lousy and the contractor a dishonest take-the-money-and-run guy. And don't get me started on the mess. They didn't do the seams or anything at ALL right --which is why I was gathering roofing nails off my driveway for years. NOT so with Ten's crew. They cleaned everything up. It's not just that Ten is responsive, fair thorough. He keeps a happy crew. I like that, both because a happy crew does better work, but also as a human, I like seeing guys working their butts off in the hot sun treated like equals. In the years since, a problem arose around a skylight. Ten showed up fast, got up on the roof himself and fixed it. After that job, I recommended him to a few friends. They were all ecstatic about Ten Arya, his crew, their attitude and their work. Good, capable, honorable contractors are precious. Just today, they came by and redid the small roof over my front porch. (I was pinching pennies and didn't get it done with the original job.) Nothing had changed in terms of responsiveness, thoroughness and quality of work. This is an A+++++ review. (One last thought: If he does your roof, you're already spending a chunk of change on your roof. So buying the crew grinders and soda for lunch is money well-spent. They get their energy levels up and they're happy to do the job right for you.)

Fine. Communication was good, workers responsible, cleanup excellent. One small problem we noticed later was taken care of promptly and thoroughly after a slight communication delay.

When Ten did the main roof he was personable and did quality work. We wanted to use him for another project because of that. We have a leak coming from a copper apron and gutter. Ten came over and gave us a quote. We texted a few times about different options to address the leak. After we made our decision a few months ago to have the apron and gutters replaced with new copper we contacted Ten to get on his schedule. He has been unresponsive since. We have tried email, text, and phone calls. All have been ignored. We kept giving him the benefit of the doubt because we liked his work. So we basically wasted 2 months waiting for him when we should have been looking for someone else. The last email I sent I explained how frustrating it is to be ignored. And since we wasted so much time on him all other roofers are booked out for the season. We might have to live with the leak until Spring. All of this could have been avoided if he took 30 seconds to send me a text saying he was no longer interested. I thought he would at least have the decency to apologize but no nothing. Because of this I decided to write this review. If you decide to use him be aware that communication can be very difficult

Ten and his crew did a great job. Before they started, Ten went over with me in detail everything they would be doing. They managed to push my project earlier in their schedule than expected because I had a leak. They completed the work in one day and left the area very clean. The new roof and skylights look great!

Awesome! Big job but they worked hard and finished in just one day, to my surprise and delight. Ten Arya is very attentive and informative and his crew was very respectful and hard-working. I will definitely hire them in the future.

Ten was very helpful in identifying our issues as we had a leak in our roof, causing water damage. He addressed the problem by replacing the rotted sheathing below, and then raising the valley and installing rubber roofing on the problem area to prevent water from pooling in that area in the future. His large crew was extremely professional to work with and very efficient. They arrived on time each morning, cleaned up each day, and finished a day earlier than expected. They used high qualify materials and the roof looks fantastic. Most importantly, our leaky roof has been repaired and we feel confident that we have a solid roof going forward. I would highly recommend Ten and his crew.

They were the least expensive amongst the 3 bids I had gotten for this project. I received an Angie's List member 5% discount from the coupon offered on the Angie's List website. The job was originally estimated to take 2 days, but it ended up taking 2.5 days due to the change in DST. The owner Ten (short for Tenzin) was easy to talk to and very helpful and knowledgeable. I would be happy to use them again if I had another roof replacement project. Overall I had a great experience with Arya Roofing.

Great work, very professional. As other reviewers have said, going back and forth with Ten can take a while. He's a busy guy! But the work is good, Ten and his crew are awesome, and it's very reasonably priced.
