I had a terrible experience with Roofers Edges & Siding Inc. We decided to replace the roof for solar system, and hired them to do the job. Remember: you are not hiring Kevin but his crew!!! The communication was extremely poor. At first, despite Kevin agreeing to use an ice shield for the front of my house, his crew was unaware of this requirement. I saw they are using the wrong material, and I had to contact Kevin at the installation day to ensure they were doing the job correctly. It was frustrating that the crew couldn't understand English, and Kevin himself never showed up at my house after the initial estimate. To make matters worse, the roof replacement resulted in a severe water leak problem between my chimney and roof. I asked them to fix it, but they failed once and never showed up again even though they provided an one-year warranty. At very beginning, I fully trusted them, and didn't check regularly, eventually I found the leaking problem persisted several months after the replacement the roof! Despite numerous attempts to contact Kevin, he consistently failed to respond to my calls and texts. Instead, he tried to blame the issue on a chimney problem, and told me they can do a water test, but that never happens. I eventually had to hire a new company to look into it, and they found out that the FLASHING was NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY!!! and I can see the sky from my attic. I had to pay extra money to redo the flashing job, and Roofers Edges & Siding already lost my trust. The lack of professionalism continued when they claimed to have applied for a permit for the job, and I trusted them. However, several months later, I found out that there was no record of the application with the town. When I contacted them, they said the issue is an incorrect address, how un-professional they are! Overall, I would not recommend Roofers Edges & Siding Inc to anyone. Their poor communication, lack of professionalism, and shoddy workmanship were unacceptable. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy roofer, I suggest you look elsewhere.

"Hi [Member Name Removed] We install ice & water. You did not see the difference because they both are black and the color of synthetic underpayment. It was present. I proved it to you. Your chimney leaks because you have missing mortar and problems with your brick. We came two times and you refuse to believe it is a chimney problem. We continued both times to fill with Mortar caulk and told you to call a mason to repoint your chimney. Your flashing was installed properly. If you did the flashing without repairing your brick. You will still have the same problem. The permit was pulled and if you don’t believe it. Call the town and they will explain what I told you. There are two pleasant streets in your town. North and South Pleasant. We did both addresses at number 20 in the town and they had it listed incorrect, I spoke with them directly on 5/11/23 and they changed it now. I also picked up your calls at all hours of the day & nights and weekends and spoke with you. Your roof was installed correctly and you have a faulty chimney. This is your problem, call a mason to fix it and your problems will be resolved. The roofers are highly experienced and installed the roof to all specifications. We appreciate the business and are disappointed that you do not agree our explanation. Please call a mason. Thank you Kevin Blakeman President"

Last fall we needed our roof replaced and wanted to hire local. After talking with the owner Kev, we figured he seemed like a genuine guy and assured us that his crew was neat and professional. His crew was timely, they showed up within a couple of days and finished the large job in 2 days. Unfortunately, they were neither neat or professional. It took me about 20 minutes of walking the edge of our house with a nail magnet (that I bought from Home Depot for cheap) to pick up roughly 100 roofing nails, both new and old. I see other roofing companies using industrial sized nail magnets to clean up after themselves so no one steps on a nail and puts it through their foot (particularly concerning given 3 small children in our house). For some reason their people don't use socks on their ladders or stabilizer bars, so they left dings and marks on our siding and gutters. I'd have let those go, if not for the other issue. Someone within their company hit and bent our wrought iron railing (which causes it to buckle in several places and compromised the concrete. Kevin acknowledged someone in his organization did the damage and they would fix it. I called Kevin 5 or 6 times and he continued to tell me they would deal with it, that was almost a year ago. The short of it is use another local roofer, Roofers Edge was unprofessional and dodged us when they caused damage. We would never recommend them to anyone in the future.

The nails and marks on gutters. I don’t ever recall you mentioning. I would have sent the crew back with no questions asked. We do have 2 different types of magnets that were used on the home that day. I do confirm that when the dumpster was drop off the dumpster hit the iron railing and I held back 500.00 to it was repaired. I continued to let the head man know about it and he always said he was working on it. We apologize for any inconvenience. I am absolutely sure you received a quality roofing installation on a complicated cut up older turn of the century home. I will also look into the railing and gutters with you. Excellent. From initial contact Roofer's Edge was responsive. The installation crew was excellent and the gutters blend in with the trim color and are barely noticeable. We would definitely recommend them without hesitation.

Excellent! Kevin was very responsive and came by just a few days after I had requested an on line quote. He gave me a proposal with the full price and explained everything and there was no sales pressure at all. A week later he came by again and we signed the proposal and gave him a deposit. He had shingle samples and again explained the process and answered all questions. A week later a crew was at our house right at 7:00 AM and were stripping the roof by 7:30 AM, after covering the bushes and hanging down tarps from the roof to protect the house. They were all done by 4:30 - cape style house and two car garage. The crew did a great job, the roof looks great and everything was cleaned up. Kevin came by and did his visual examination and to make sure everything was OK. Great Job!

- Very prompt, professional service delivered at a great price on our Newton expanded bungalow. - Owner, Brian (in business for 25 yrs) assessed/priced job and, with on-site job supervisor, was available at every stage of job completion. - I requested 4 references which Brian gave me at random but said he doesn't call former customers in advance of such requests so wasn't sure if I'd get call backs. All 4 references DID return my calls and all raved about Roofer's Edge/Siding work and value. - Also, work crew included professional women which I appreciated. - Policy is payment at the end of the job when customer is satisfied. - Will definitely use again for siding and or windows given this roofing experience.

Other than delays due to rain, it went very well. My house is a large Victorian with lots of areas to "cut into" . I had a new skylight and bathroom exhaust fan installed, as part of the job. The foreman took care of covering the air handler in the attic before work began. He also hooked up the exhaust fan inside the attic. The crew completed the job in 2 and a half days and cleaned up thoroughly. The foreman, crew and owner, were responsive to my questions and concerns and assured me along the way. Kevin Blakeman, the owner, was very available and responded immediately to my calls and emails. I would highly recommend this company.

I contacted Kevin the morning after the storm, as soon as we were aware of the problem with our roof. He had a crew at our house that afternoon. They completed the repair efficiently and cleaned up thoroughly. We had some spare shingles left over from when the roof was put on originally, and they were able to save us money by using the materials we had. The cost of the repair was very reasonable, as well.

Emailed company via Angie's list, received a prompt reply, and arranged to meet one of the estimators at my house for a free quote soon after. They gave me a quote the same day which is great service. The price seemed reasonable and they stopped by the following week and completed the job on time and per the quoted price. Great job and would hire them again.

Roofer's Edge was overall great to work with. ?We did some major maintenance to our home exterior over the course of several months--and from the start Kevin was prompt, courteous, and gave us a very fair quotes compared to other companies we contacted. ?We had a bit of trouble with our exterior paint job where some iron plant hangers were semi painted over, but once we pointed it out Kevin took care of it. ?They were super patient, allowed us ample time to pick the exterior color we wanted, and didn't raise an eyebrow when we asked to have our front door painted a 2nd time in a different color. ?We were very pleased with the exterior paint job, as well as our gutter replacement, rotten siding replacement, and roofing. ?We'd definitely use Kevin and his crew again and can highly recommend his services.

I had met with a couple of companies that seemed to be competent roofing companies but their prices were crazy high. After last year's bad winter I believe the prices from these companies were raised artificially high to take advantage of the demand. I continued to look and called several highly rated companies listed on Angie's list but none of them panned out. A couple of the companies said they were too busy to give me a price. One company sounded great on the phone (asked all the right questions) but never followed up. I finally saw a few recommendations on a local group on facebook and they recommended Kevin Blakeman and his company Roofer's edge and siding, Inc. After looking him up on Angie's list and seeing very good recommendations I called him and he responded right away. He came over to my house with his son, who is learning the business, and Kevin impressed me with his knowledge and thoroughness getting measurements, discussing materials, addressing ice dam prevention ideas. He promptly sent me a quote, the price seemed very fair so I went with their company. Kevin kept me up to date right from the beginning on timelines, what would happen throughout the process and he kept to his word on everything he said. They were clearly a well oiled machine that knows what they are doing.
After several false starts with other companies I had grown a little discouraged trying to find a good company to replace our roof. Luckily we finally found Roofer's edge and the overall experience was great and I wholeheartedly recommend Kevin and his company and will use him to replace some trim work around my house that has rotted. Great Job Roofer's edge!

They were able to do the job three weeks earlier than scheduled. The workers showed up right on time, went right to work and got the job done in one day as promised at the exact price quoted. All of the debris was cleaned up and the yard was left in the same condition as when they arrived. The workers were professional and the roof looks awesome. I would highly recommend Roofers Edge to anyone looking to replace their old roof.
