Most professional plumbers can install a bathroom sink in around one to two hours. This is typically a routine job. PEX pipes last up to 50 years on average, though they often last longer. This lifespan is comparable to that of galvanized steel, which ranges from 40 to 100 years. Due to that and the fact that it's easier to work with, many plumbers and DIYers are choosing PEX tubes over traditional metal piping.

The biggest sign that your flange leaks is if you notice water at the base of the toilet. The cause is likely due to a poor flange installation, so you might have issues with loose bolts, an uneven flange, or a cracked plastic flange. Add a deteriorating wax seal to this, and you have a recipe for disaster. The best solution is to shut off the water valve, replace the toilet flange, and seal it with a new wax ring.

A burst pipe can cause serious water damage within 24 hours. Once a leak or flood starts, mold can develop, floors and walls can become saturated, electronics can be damaged, and structural issues can occur.
