We recently completed a gut reno and second story addition. After engaging 10 different contractors, MP was the most communicative, interested, flexible and competitively priced. MP has a large in-house team of experts that work efficiently and adapt to the home owner’s needs and preferences. The employees worked 6 days a week and took great pride in their work. They were personally invested in our project and wanted to make it the home of our dreams. The team includes an amazing designer, Nataly, who helped with selecting finishes. The onsite foreman, Adriano, demonstrated expertise and kindness. Seichelle and Marco did an excellent job with operations, ordering materials and problem-solving. We have been back in our home for 10 months. Anytime I have an issue, Seichelle and the team have addressed it. They have gone above and beyond what is expected. We could not be more pleased with our project. We strongly recommend MP for your next project!

I want to sincerely thank and highly recommend Marco Polo home Builder! While I was selling my house, the buyer’s inspector believed the attic needed repairs. One company quoted me a staggering $15,000. Thankfully, I had a general contractor from MP home Builder come take a look. He spent a lot of time carefully inspecting the attic and determined that it actually met all the requirements — there was only a small issue that needed to be fixed. They only charged $600! From $15,000 to $600 — that’s not just a price difference, it’s a clear example of honesty, integrity, and professionalism. MP home Builder doesn't lie or exaggerate just to make money. They are genuine, responsible, and truly care about doing the right thing. In today's world, a company like this is incredibly rare. What’s more, MP home Builder also does HVAC, furnace, electrical, and other types of work, and their prices are much more reasonable than other companies I’ve dealt with. In addition to the kitchen, they also remodeled our bathroom. Marco was sensitive to the fact that we only had one bathroom and made sure we were out the facilities for the minimum time possible. Our bathroom remodel was completed with lightning speed which we really appreciated! The kitchen remodel was also speedy. They worked with our requirements for smaller than usual appliances, finding, and even building, cabinets to fit our small kitchen space. Everyone who worked on our projects were very professional, wearing masks and keeping windows open even in the winter months. We're very happy with our new kitchen and bathroom!

The entire job from start to finish took three months... not bad for a hundred year old house. Plumbing and electric work was very reliable. They also have a very talented woodworker who was able to reuse much of the original wood to repair a window sill, trim, and baseboard. Whenever we had any concerns they were addressed promptly and to our satisfaction. They also had a beautiful selection of cabinets and granite counter tops to choose from. We would absolutely use them again. Very happy with the outcome.

I hired Marco Polo Construction to update and renovate my condo in the Back Bay. This included a full kitchen remodel, bathroom update, refinishing floors, and painting the entire condo. I have nothing but positive things to say about the contractors - they were friendly, professional, kept the place clean, and very responsive to my requests. The workmanship was exceptional. The only downside was that the project took far longer than originally quoted.

It went extraordinarily well. Marco Polo's crew was very professional and technically skilled. They began work as soon as we signed the contract and completed the job within the timeframe we were quoted. The finished product looks amazing. They may not be the most inexpensive contractor you will find, but we got what we paid for: quality work, exceptional service, and an on-time completion. We would hire them again and would highly recommend them to anyone who asked.

Sensational. I honestly cannot recommend them highly enough. Firstly, their cost-estimation was spot-on (you may know that a common game among contractors is to ‘low ball’ you to win the work and then gouge you later in with all sorts of adders. None of that silliness from Marco and team.) Secondly, the work was very well-done and completed on time. Additionally, their interior design work was also top notch, stylish, and timeless (I didn’t want interior design that I’d have to redo in 5-7 years). As I previously wrote I contracted for Marco Polo to do some what I believe was pretty basic work; to paint the exterior of my cedar siding two story home and to do update my 30x20 foot deck. Marco Polo was hired because of the personal recommendation I received about the quality of their work and statement that their pricing was fair. In fact they were very competitive to the other estimates consider for the job. However the true value of their work was revealed after being on site and the prep work was being started two major issues were brought to my attention; the first was my cedar siding had rotted out and I was able to put a pencil into my exterior wall with no effort. The problem was that the original builder of the home failed to put a weather barrier on the underlayment plywood; over time water and snow eventually rotted the plywood away. Marco Polo immediately began to cost engineering solution for me to effectively repair the damage and to make the home better than when I purchased it. The second issue were their true value came to bare was during the repair of my deck; in addition to my desire to make my deck look better I seemed to think that it was settling on the far corner and need “a few boards” to raise it to its previous level . Unknowing to me, my deck was sinking in the soil and given just a few more months my entire deck would have collapsed. Marco Polo was able to immediately provide me with a solution to permanently level my deck once again; they “jacked” the sinking support pillar and with cinder blocks and support beams and poured a solid concrete footer to serve as a “foundation for the support beam; this was ingenious and saved me thousands of dollars in repairs and saved my grill getting destroyed from collapsing with the deck. The remainder of the job had no other issues was completed on time and no other change order’s other than the two (2) requirements I had to address and were unknown to myself or Marco Polo. I personally would have them do any job on my home or that of anyone I know including my mom’s home. They are truly a wonderful company to work with, honest and understand their work .

Overall we were really happy with Marco Polo and we highly recommend them. We got several quotes for this job and found their quote to be very fair. They also worked with us to make sure we could get the best possible finished product given our price range. They kept on budget - they completed the entire job without ever asking for more money. The folks doing the work were very friendly and respectful. Nataly, our project manager, was extremely responsive and understanding of our needs. In terms of issues, we almost never saw Marco during the project and wish he had been more present/involved. The few times he did come by, he added a ton of value, pointing out issues and giving recommendations. Also, they ran significantly over schedule... Had an issue with some of the grout cracking, but they were responsive and came back to fix it at no charge. Overall, we were very happy with the product. And most of all, we really trusted Marco. He was was very upfront and we never felt like he was cutting corners or taking advantage of us in any way.

Construction started on time. The employees were respectful and cleaned up at the end of each day. They made any minor changes requested on-the-spot. Their work was beautiful and professionally done with no short cuts taken. The majority of the work was completed on time. The inspection process took longer than expected but this was due to the inspector providing incomplete instruction on what changes were needed. We recommend Marco Polo based on the quality of the work at a competitive price.

This project was very challenging: tight lot, very complex steel structure, vicious neighbors and city inspectors. Marco gave us a very good estimate, and we decided to hire him. Soon after we poured foundation, we had to halt the construction (it was an unrelated issue) for over a year. Marco was very patient and waited until we settled that issue and could resume the work. He was faithfully maintaining the lot in the meantime. After we could resume the work, Marco put an absolutely amazing foreman Junior (Jarbas) who has extraordinary skills!! The team was amazing, very high quality. Junior asked us when an important decision was to be made, such as choice of granite or sinks etc. After the project was finished, we are still amazed at how much thought Junior and Marco have put into this house! A very complex commercial-grade fire alarm, an intercom system, sound-proofing... Even after half a year, we see no single place where things could have been done better. He used very good materials, not a cheap stuff. The crew was top-notch: most folks stayed from start to finish, very high-quality workmanship. We cannot be happier about the GC choice we made. Thank you very much, Marco and Junior! We would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Marco is great - he is exceptionally easy to work with, and there are none of the conflicts that we have had with other contractors in the past. The work of his crew was very high quality, and he was able to meet several tricky design ideas that we created. His crew chief was also good to work with and is highly recommended. Marco's prices are fair, and he stuck to the initial quote except where we added special requests during construction. I have recommended him to several friends and am confident in doing so for others. The only criticism is that some of the specifics were not fully conveyed between Marco and his crew, which sometimes caused rework. if things had been clarified before work began on each step, we could have weighed in with our choices and avoided the miscommunication.? When this happened, Marco and crew took responsibility for the updates.

Everything they did was first class with professionalism and care to details. I was really impressed with the professionalism shown by Marco executing this project.? We started and finished on schedule.? If Marco said that an electrician, or framer, or painter, or plumber was going to show up at 8am the next morning, the person would be there before time. The quality of the work was excellent; the scope of work was defined really well.? They are consummate professionals, highly responsive, willing to make recommendations, and totally transparent. I'm not sure there's much more to say than that. Easily my strongest recommendation of any home service provider I have encountered. I?m contacting Marco for future projects with no doubt.

Marco's company was great. They knew we were on a time crunch (I was 38 weeks pregnant), and pushed the job as needed into the evenings and weekends. Overall the above listed work took only about a week. They picked up materials from stores as needed for us, and were very friendly to myself and my family. The work was done well and with great precision. We were definitely pleased, even a few weeks later looking back there are no complaints or "little things" that bug us. I would highly recommend!

Marco was the only person I contacted who actually showed up. Not only did he show up, he showed up at 8:00AM on the dot on a Saturday morning, just as we had arranged. He evaluated the closets and even left to go back to his shop for a tool he needed and came back to complete the evaluation. He was very prompt in getting me an estimate, which was a bit higher than I had hoped. When I told him that, he worked with me to get the job done at a price I could afford. He told me that the job would likely take 2 to 3 days, and it did. The workers were polite and left my home in the condition they found it. They did run into one unforeseen problem due to the lack of a support beam where one should have been. So, they had to place one, which did increase my cost but Marco was very up front about it with me. I was very happy with how the job turned out. It is exactly what I hoped for and probably how it should have been done in the first place. I would ask Marco to do work again in a heartbeat.

Marco was great to work with and a really good guy too. He accommodated our schedules by meeting with us on weekends which was very helpful. He addressed all the extra jobs I added on to the project whether big or small. His pricing was good for what he provided and he did not nickel and dime on all the little extras which I appreciated. He was very detail oriented and his subs did a great job and left the job site clean and clutter free. The floor tiling was especially nice!
