"We hired WR Builders Inc. The team was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us design a space that perfectly fits our needs. They were punctual, reliable, and kept the project on schedule. The quality of their workmanship is exceptional, and they were always willing to go the extra mile to ensure our satisfaction. The basement looks fantastic, and we’ve already recommended WR Builders Inc. to friends and family."

"I am a licensed MA builder and remodeler. I work with a network of trusted contractors. D&S Construction is one of my frequent partners. We have worked on exterior and interior projects, additions, bathrooms, kitchens, decks, repairs, basement remodels, and more. Sanfer Rocha and his team have an outstanding work ethic. He prices his work fairly and does great work. If you want a quick, sloppy job, you need to look elsewhere. There are many contractors who will work cheap and their results reflect the price and attitude. D&S Construction is the rare company performing excellent work at a reasonable price. Sanfer refuses to do things any way but the RIGHT way. His quality is top notch. He treats his subcontractors fairly and they return the favor by doing great work. Sanfer and his team are extremely considerate of customers' properties and always leave the job site clean and neat, whether he is coming back the next day or wrapping up on the final day. He has my highest recommendation. D&S Construction is unlikely to be the cheapest estimate you receive; they are quite likely to be the best value and best experience."

"Bob is so easy to work with. He quickly gave a reasonable quote and came to install my new ducted range hood within a week and completed the job in couple of hours. He and his brother were just pros. It’s also very convenient that you can pay him with a credit card. I highly recommend Bob for your home projects. I’ll definitely keep him mind for my future home projects."

"Great! Our initial job was back in March when we needed work done asap so we could have cable. They responded and took the time to help us. They wired the whole house for cable within the week. Excellent job on everything! We have used them several times since then. Would highly recommend and will definitely use them for future projects!

"I was happy with the work done by Matt and his crew on my roof replacement. Of the highlights, Matt excelled at customer service. I had spoken to several contractors during the bidding process and Matt clearly stood out as someone to provide detailed guidance and credible advice on the project. As my roof was being replaced as part of an insurance claim, Matt took the initiative to bring in additional contractors to build out an initial estimate for all of the work, to get things moving with the insurance company, which was a huge help. Matt took things a bit further and spoke directly with the insurance company regarding details of my roof and other work that was not started yet and was able to help me gain significantly more coverage than originally provided! Matt was always available for questions and promptly returned my calls and emails throughout the process. In one instance, I had requested that they hold off on installation of the ice and water shield one day due to the cold temperatures. Matt agreed to this with no hesitation, even though it required them to work the weekend to complete the work. Per my inspection throughout the roofing process and after, everything looked good and I found only a few things that were missed, which Matt took care of immediately. Some mess and nails were left behind after the work, but it was fairly minimal. Due to the scale of the work, Matt / MMP did bring in subcontractors to perform much of the standard roofing work. I would have appreciated if MMP was more forthcoming about this earlier in the process. MMP had someone from their team on-site for the entire process, but I think that they could have kept a closer eye on the sub-contractors work. For the more challenging tasks, Matt came out and did the work himself. He and his team worked hard throughout the process, working long hours and through the weekend to get everything completed in a timely manner and reduce risk of water leakage in case of rain. I will certainly consider MMP for future work on my house."

"I own a two family house, live in part and rent out the rest. I contracted with Genove based on an Angie's list offer, and have continued with them, having tried a couple of other companies. They have been pretty responsive -- actually came out on Christmas Eve this past year. They are more comfortable with oil furnaces than gas, but have been fine for me."

"Didnt know that the furnace needed 4 switches upon arrival but founf out it needed them. The orginal mechanic ordered the parts for more expensive then they shouldve been and I founf this out when he was out with the flu and Jeremy took his place and came to do the job instead. I ended up paying $20 a piece for the parts because jeremy ordered directly from the company. It all seemed shady. They extended the Angie's List discount and also a veteran discount which was meaningful to me."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Yes, pros can offer guidance to achieve desired aesthetics and match existing decor.

Builder-grade is one of two types of stock cabinets, whereas semi-custom designs allow homeowners some control over the color, finish, or hardware on their cabinets. Stock cabinets are sold in construction-grade and builder-grade designs. Construction-grade cabinets are usually made from inexpensive medium-density fiberboard, which is prone to moisture damage, whereas builder-grade models are a step up with higher-quality materials. Construction-grade designs are the most common type of cabinets in America.

Typically, general remodeling involves architects, contractors, interior designers, electricians, plumbers, and sometimes structural engineers. Each plays a role in bringing the project from concept to completion.

Professionals optimize layouts, improve energy efficiency, and ensure structural safety and compliance.

Universal design costs can be minimal when you add them during construction; however, adding universal design principles to existing homes can sometimes increase renovation costs. For example, a mid-grade bathroom remodel is estimated to cost around $30,000, while a standard universal design remodel can cost closer to $40,000. Adding accessible design components can include widening hallways ($500 to $2,000), curbless showers ($2,000 to $8,000), and widening doors ($400 to $800). Keep in mind that these increased costs can lead to higher resale values because universal homes may appeal to a wider variety of buyers.
