"I could not have asked for a better experience with Franos Roofing. He met with my ins. adjuster and noted items I was not aware needed to be repaired. The men working were courteous and made sure everything was cleaned up at the end of the day. If you needed to get in touch with him, he would always return the call and be available. I would definitely use them again if needed. I would highly recommend this company."

"This was phase 2 of 3 of my window and door project. I installed another patio door and 2 bathroom windows with privacy glass. Gus had his team replace all the rotted wood and add new aluminum capping on the exterior. The products came in earlier than expected and they were able to install everything well ahead of schedule. Again, I am so pleased my neighbor referred Lifetime to me as Gus was unbelievable to work with."

"From start to finish, the job was excellent.  From Steve's attention to detail and making sure the windows were perfectly sized (we had a particularly tricky bay window) to the meticulous installation (it took a little longer than we anticipated, but we knew they were doing things right).  Fabulous!

"Stoyan returned my call the Friday I had left a message and came to check out my problem on Monday morning.  He worked with a hose for over an hour to determine the cause of the seepage I was having in a difficult-to-get-to place in the basement - paneling covered the wall and heavy bookcases were built on the wall that divided this office space from the utility area.  A crack that was visible from the exterior had been diagnosed as the culprit by another estimator (turns out that was at the other end of the office and had been corrected from the interior several years ago).  After much hosing and checking walls on both side of the divider, it was determined that the water was running in from the window well via a plexiglass-covered window, down behind the paneling, and running under that wall where the floor sloped toward the sump pump and, farther on, the drain.  He recommended replacing and sealing the window well as well as removing any debris and checking the draining into the existing tile, covering that area with stone and affixing a cover that we did not have.  I also decided to have the other 3 basement window wells cleaned  and checked and stone added along with covers for those windows.  Stoyan called later that day to say that the materials were available and scheduled the installation for 2 days later - they arrived promptly and worked all morning, first having to remove a bush that was blocking their progress (that had been anticipated) and very professionally did their work and cleaned up nicely.
How glad I was to get this second opinion and not had structural repairs made and paid for that I did not need!

"I waited quite a while to do a review because with a sliding balcony door, you want to see how it holds up through the seasons and if there are problems, you want to see if those get resolved. First, there were no problems whatsoever over the past year that weâ ve had the new door. It slides beautifully, never sticks, seals well to keep out the cold (or keep in the cold in the case of AC). The glass has held up well, no mottling, and we got super strong screening on the screen section because of a squirrel / dog issue. The screening has also held up. We continue to be pleased with the door. At the time it was installed, it was done well. We were told exactly what to expect in terms of the wait for when it would arrive and our expectations were managed well. Everyone was friendly and professional and all has stood up. We never had to call them for any repairs or adjustments. I can now say it has all been five-star."

"Damian + team were absolutely amazing to work with. Our builder did not install shower glass in two of our bathrooms. We had ordered a few doors from Home Depot and hired Meva to install. When they came in they explained the issues we might have with the doors (they would be very short). I appreciated their honesty and stopping work to explain so I could make changes if necessary. We went forward with custom glass for both showers. Damian measured and designed the perfect glass for each of the bathrooms. Timing from measuring to installation was better than expected. The glass has been up for 7 months now with no issues. I would absolutely work with Meva again in the future."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Most bathroom mirrors last 10 to 15 years with regular maintenance. The actual lifespan is determined by the quality of the mirror, its materials, the way it was hung, and the overall ventilation and humidity level in your bathroom. Meanwhile, LED bathroom mirrors tend to have a lifespan of 30,000 to 50,000 hours.

Some stained glass window pieces could have significant value depending on their artistic and historical impact. Stained glass windows dating back to the 1800s or early 1900s may be worth $2,000 to over $150,000, particularly for prestigious brands like Tiffany. But most stained glass used in residential settings will not have exponential value, particularly if the stained glass is a more modern reproduction of classic styles.

Smart glass doesn’t use a lot of electricity, and you can expect a standard window to add between $1 and $2 per year to your electric bills. Smart glass is proof that energy-efficient windows work. Although your smart windows may consume a little energy to operate, they can save enough energy to offset the costs. If you’re concerned about the minimal bump to your electricity consumption, you can opt for smart tint, which doesn’t require electricity to work.

Standard mirrors come in many different shapes, sizes, and thicknesses, so you can often find a great fit for your space without adding customizations. Custom mirrors are ideal if your space has very specific constraints. For instance, you may need a much longer or wider mirror than you can find in a standard mirror. You might also want a custom mirror if you have particular styling preferences, such as a frame with a specific finish or a unique edge.

Using caulk is one of the simplest and most recommended methods to finish glass tile edges. It creates an elegant seam between the glass tile and the adjacent area, along with a waterproof seal. With this method, you want to use a caulk color that matches the grout and, along with the grout, compliments the tile. Make sure the caulk line is smooth and even. Alternatively, you can use a bullnose or tile trimming to edge, however, that will also require caulk to seal.
