"Excellent Work--went above and beyond what was needed, fixing at no extra charge a secondary area of the roof that Insurance didn't include in their estimate. Fast, timely service and great communication, all at a great price. This is the second time we've used them for work on our church building and would definitely use them again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FRANOS ROOFING"

"From the very beginning I was thoroughly pleased with everyone I worked with, Salesman, window removal and re-installation of new windows by craftsman and everyone involved! If I had a question concerning the contract or installation questions, all were answered in a timely manner to me by my Salesman, Steve Churma. He was well versed in the product as well as all of the procedures necessary for this project and that was truly appreciated. I would recommend this company to anyone that might require new windows at any time."

"Steve's crew was outstanding. Very professional and skilled and it showed in their work. We had a few issues with grids being on windows they shouldn't have been and some confusion around where tempered glass was needed or not however Steve addressed all of it to our satisfaction. I would recommend Premier to anyone looking for replacement windows."

"We started the whole process with the work done on our house back in April 2012, and found a company through Angie's List that we decided to work with.  We needed a new roof, siding, gutters, soffit/fascia on our house and garage, and stone work on the front of our house. The first contractor said they could subcontract the stone work, no problem, then AFTER we did the roof with them, they came back and said, oh by the way we can't do the stone work after all.  Countryside is the company, I don't recommend working with a company that will flat out lie to you.  SO, we had to basically start over getting estimates, etc. Ultimate Remodelers was recommended to us by neighbors that were very pleased with their siding work.  They have a wonderful software program that allows you to see the finished product on YOUR house before you pull the trigger.  That really helped us make decisions about what products to choose.  They were great about following up with us, working with time frames that were set up and showing up for appointments when they said they would.   Their workers were great, very friendly and cleaned up after themselves every day.  They even did a few small things that we didn't include in the original contract at no extra cost.   We had a large portion of our budget coming from our insurance providers, and they worked with them as well, no problems at all.   I would HIGHLY recommend James and Mike, they were fantastic and delivered exactly what was promised, plus some!

"I highly recommend Windo-Well Cover Co. They were here when they said they would be, came prepared do the job even if it rained, and went above and beyond by cleaning out the window well before installing the cover. I am happy with the look of the cover, but am especially pleased with the strenth and durability of the cover. We will use them again to cover additional window wells."

"Came on site for a leaking basement window, and spotted some problems with the brick-work above the window that was likely causing the problem. Referred me to a tuckpointing specialist. Honest and good referral too!

Glaziers FAQs, answered by experts

The best way to transport wine glasses is to pack them upright in a divided, padded box designed specifically for stemware. First, wrap each glass individually with bubble wrap or packing paper, ensuring both the bowl and the delicate stem are cushioned. If you don't have a divided box, you can still pack them safely. After wrapping each glass and securing the material with tape, place them upright in a sturdy box. Layer soft items like dish towels, crumpled paper, or clothing between the glasses to prevent them from touching. Fill any remaining gaps with additional padding to keep the glasses snug and prevent shifting. Finally, clearly label the box as “FRAGILE GLASSWARE” or “FRAGILE–HANDLE WITH CARE” to ensure careful handling.

Generally, large bathroom mirrors that have been secured to the wall with glue require a multistep removal process. By taping the mirror with masking tape or duct tape, you can potentially prevent dangerous shards from falling as you loosen the mirror. A heat gun or other heat source may be needed to loosen up the glue before it can be freed using a wire saw. With glued-down mirrors being the most dangerous to remove, it's wise to hire a professional instead of handling glass on your own.

Standard mirrors come in many different shapes, sizes, and thicknesses, so you can often find a great fit for your space without adding customizations. Custom mirrors are ideal if your space has very specific constraints. For instance, you may need a much longer or wider mirror than you can find in a standard mirror. You might also want a custom mirror if you have particular styling preferences, such as a frame with a specific finish or a unique edge.

A window may fail because of age, defective mechanisms, or moisture. Depending on the issue, the window may be fixed with simple repairs. Otherwise, you’ll have to invest in replacing it. You can avoid damaged windows but keeping up with window maintenance.

For small cracks, glass-bonding glue that can be pressed into cracks may be able to save a broken mirror. If a corner of a mirror has been chipped, you may be able to conceal the fact by adding a border or frame to the mirror. Deeper cracks and chips should be addressed by a glass-restoration professional if you're trying to preserve an antique or heirloom mirror.
